ref fucked up that call, it wasn't a punch, it was a shove to get his man to the ground (open handed). from there he realized the guy wasnt resisting so he waited till he tried to move where he knocked him off balance and out of the play. no foul play there.

harrison's just too raw for the nfl lol. cards player got owned so bad i think the ref threw the flag outta sympathy or some shit

Agree. You're SUPPOSED to maul the opposing player, who is SUPPOSED to get downfield and maul YOUR punt returner. There never was a PUNCH thrown. And at the end of that skirmish, it was a 2-handed SHOVE -- ie, a BLOCK -- while the play was still LIVE. I hadn't realized that blocking in the CHEST of a defender on a punt return was now illegal in the NFL.

Fuk Fat Madden, Ron Cook, and any other dumfuk who though thought this was a penalty and that Jamie shoulda been thrown outa the game...

Folks, this is just another "Madden Induced Controversy." Most of us watched with tons of screaming fans, so we couldn't hear Madden's Alzheimer-inspired rantings. Just like he did in SB XL, he managed to get a few casual fans and sore losers crying about the reffing again. Harrison NEVER threw a punch and that ugly shot that put the blocker on his ass was 100% illegal. As a matter of fact, when it happened, the punt was off and the blocker became the BLOCKEE.

its unfortunate people get tricked into behaving a certain way. when you watch what *really* happened; the fact this took place on a punt/punt return... Harrison didn't do anything wrong except become a martyr for the 'pussify the NFL' direction the league is taking. when i played football i played contact 'til the whistle. i got fired up. i never cheapshotted anyone but i loved hitting people. so does Deebo. sure the open hand was rough by some standards (skirts on the QBs anyone?) but come oooooon... the dude was fired up. watch that clip a few times over and think him saying stuff like "oh yeah! cmon sucka! yeah get a breath. now sit down son. im the baddest mutha fucka on the planet! to tha whistle!".

if thats going to be a penalty in the future im done because that sucks i mean he is just a bad dude and cant help it. what sucks more is we just won our SIXth Super Bowl!!!
