AZ Fans already bitching about "getting jobbed"

Postby StillMill » Mon Feb 02, 2009 1:17 am

Had an AZ fan call me up already, crying, sobbing, and bitching about "how the Cards were jobbed".

Among his whines:

- 3 pers. foul flag on AZ on the 3Q march. Uh, no shit. MASKING, LATE HIT on the QB, and bowling over a defenseless FG holder. No fuking shit.

- "Harrison punched a Card and should have been ejected". He didn't punch.....he simply beat on a Card. Frankly, I am not sure why this was a flag. You're SUPPOSED to bury and bludgeon a defender on punt returns. This was NOT after the whistle.

Fuck almighty, the faggott Cardinal fans, along with Cheezenhunt, are gonna gripe and whine about the loss.

On a related note, I'd like someone to post photos of Ben's TOUCHDOWN that was fuking robbed from us in the 1Q.

lol they got the most BS call in the game, with that holding call for a safety.

not to mention although they got flagged for holding like 3 times, they also got away with more non-calls. i counted at least 6 times woodley was being held. he should have finished the game with 4+ sacks

I seem to be the only Steeler fan that thinks the official got this call right.

Ben's knee was down before he got in.

I also think the hold for the safety wasn't BS, either.

i didn't think he got in either. i was watching the game with a room full of steeler fans and we all thought it was the right call after watching the replay. in realtime though it didn look like a TD

I agree, I thought the Ben non-TD was a good call. And the hold in the EZ, C'mon, the guy got bulled over, he didn't tackle him? I was mad, but you know in the NFL, if a D-lineman goes down like that, they always call it, so I was.......ok, i guess with it!?! I agree Wood got held all night! And as far as the Harrison ULP goes, if Lambert don't get kicked out of SB for intentionaly slamming a guy, why would Harrison for hitting him in the chest a few times? Non-issue for me! Sad thing is, the media will bring that play up all the time now to dicredit his charecter.

The holding call in the EZ for the safety makes up for any BS calls the stillers might have rec'd... becuase it make it a game again...

Not The Fans I've Encountered........

Postby StillDodger » Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:16 am

I'm in AZ, and I have to say, I don't see it. The fans were mostly lamenting about the pick six by Harrison and the game-winning drive.

Now the Clowns fans, that's a different story. The Browns Board has the video of Harrison's PF all over the site.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

The calling sucked...but it was pretty equal overall....the steelers benefited from a few calles I wish the ref's hadn;t made...but they, like all refs all year, did not call a bunch of holding calls. Harrison was mauled one time and their was no call...i saw three plays that were not called that were more blatent than the Safety Holding call...which was holding...so F&^@ any biased complaint AZ fans might have....they lost the slugfest...and the Steelers Won!

not really a call you make in the 4th qt of the sb when ben was clearly gonna make that pass before the d linemen was gonna be a factor since it was a timing pattern. They let alot of holds on harrison go, so you would exspect the same in return.

plus it really does not matter since both teams had the oppurtunity to win the game in the final to minutes without the refs being part of the action...

HIS KNEE NEVER AT ANY POINT TOUCHED THE GROUND. Everytime they freeze the picture his knee is still a good inch off the ground!!!

i had a cards fan call me after the game, but he said the cards lost because they scored too quick and gave the ball to ben with too much time on the clock. in either case he gave respect when it was due. santonio and ben were clutch on that final drive

No- it's not. It's on the ground.

I've looked at the replay about three times now.

Watching the angle from behind on this play proves it was a fumble, but it wasn't a forced fumble by Woodley; Warner never had the ball going forward. He had an empty hand the entire time, because he was a clumsyfuk who couldn't hold onto the ball.

Make no mistake. Many talking heads will voice that he had control coming forward with his hand and that the play should have been reviewed. I agree that there probably should have been a review, but can totally see why they did not. Because, Woodly hit Warner's forearm while it was still moving backwards. At no other point could Warner have lost control of the football. There was no "other" play the forced him to lose control as he was coming forward, it must have happened at the contact, which was while his arm was going backwards.

i dunno. watching that replay, it looks like he dropped the ball going backwards BEFORE woodley hit him. the ball was clearly moving before woodley hit him -- not FORWARD, but BACKWARDS. it was going to be one of those empty hand situations that mommy maddox used to do four or five times a season. in fact, had woodley NOT hit warner, i think the ball goes straight down and there's no question it's a fumble.

I think the refs were terrible on both sides of the ball. The first warner fumble was a good call but the second one was definitely a fumble. Ben's td in the first quarter was not a td but a good effort by him. Cards can't wine because they had the lead and all they had to do was stop our offense that drove 90 yards down the field if I am correct.

After watching Ben engineer that final drive... does any of this really matter? Who fucking cares? Ben would have driven them down the field 10 of 10 times.. He is a straight fucking assasin!...Once Ben put the laser scope on Holmes...it was all over!
