Until they got in the redzone...then he sucked ass. Two times inside the 5 and we kicked chippies? How about a fucking bootleg on 1st down! Everyone in the entire fucking World knows the Steelers run on 1st down inside the 5! If you wait till 3rd down to bootleg or pass..inside the 5..you are fucked.. unless you have a freak like Fitz.

the 1Q was acceptable. After that, Arians shit the bed with bland, vanilla predictability. Total vomit.

I dunno....

Twice, first and goal on the 5, no TD. Actually 3 if you count that we got another 1D due to penalty. We were the worst team all season in short yardage for goal or 1D, and it really showed tonite. If just one of those had gone in for TD instead of field goal, we would have had the game in the bag instead of needing a last minute drive.

Ben calling the plays on the last drive, moves right down the field, 6 points. Arians produced 1 TD on his play calling in 57 minutes.

How many times do we plunge FWP for <3 yards, then line up for 2D in the shotgun? I know we had a couple of PA first downs, but I think we should have had more.

Sorry I think we are bad inside the 5 because we don't have the proper personel for it... the one time we get Russell in there we get the TD.... so I do fault him for not using Russell more inside the 5...

However, the ARI dline had be smoking the run all night long and I like the play action roll out even though it didn't work... I thought it was a good call... as for Ben going down the field easily... it took an amazing tightrope catch to get the TD even then...

Maybe the ARI defense deserves some credit for dominating the LOS most of the night and for bending and not breaking....that much.... that's my take on it anyway

WOW.. WHAT A GAME!

Russell was used on the first drive as well on a run that was just bad. Just a tiny correction.

Arians first quarter play-calling can be mainly attributed to him having a good 2 week sit down with Ben.

He wouldn't normally have that luxury, after that it was very mediocre!!

QB draw on 3rd and goal, what the hell, this is the play that got us dumped out of the playoffs last season,
Parker is not a goalline back, and this offensive line is just that, offensive to my eyes!

This game would have been out of sight with a decent O coordinator, instead we very nearly lost the whole thing!

The Rooney's/Tomlin need to see the light with this Bum!

Arians will be back next year unfortunately - with a new OLINE and a healthy Mendy.

He had a number of new looks last night - I liked that.

Our goal line offense is offensive - has been all year, but some of that clearly is personnel.

Hey, I'm not a huge fan of Arians either... It was just the best called game out of the past 3 games is all I'm saying... I saw more plays last night where I was thinking... hey that was unexpected, or a new look, etc... dumping off to Heath, rolling out at the goalline... these things I did not see vs. SD or BAL... maybe I'm forgetting however.

My take... if there is a really good OC option out there, then we dump Arians, but I don't think we should dump him unless there is someone with a decent track record, etc.

and that is it - Ben likes Bruce so he will stay - they will not mess with chemistry - just get some other players on OLINE, get Mendy healthy and Sweed some hands and BA will stay - much to my chagrin most of the time

Arians called a good first quarter(some part of the 2nd quarter), other than that, it was pure garbage!! The game should not have been as close as it was! We left way to many points on the field from inside the ten! We won because of Ben!! Ben ran the last drive and made himself a LEGEND!

Six Time World Champions!!! (F Arians) :sufootballhelmet:

I totally disagree ,I think it was the same old shit and it almost cost us the game!
The steelers all season play for field goals in the redzone with bullshit wasted downs running plays when they proved over and over again all season they can score at will with the game on the line throwing it in the redzone.

I just think its rediculous to wait till there is no other choice but to throw do to the score ,when these games could be put away by the third qt with throws like they did last yr(ben did not have 32 tds from outside the 20 last season)

same as the rest of the season, Arians gets to write the script, then Ben throws it out when the game is on the line

Arians best game was against San Diego. what is wrong with the 1st/2nd down play action to Heath/Spaeth down on the goalline? remember when we scored like crazy on that play in 07? why did we not do it this year? that is on Arians--believe me, we have the personnel. just not the brain.

Fitzie's first TD: I knew it was a fade, i'm sure Ike knew it was a fade, everyone in the stadium knew it was a fade: guess what, they still scored.

We should have been throwing the ball to the corners everytime in the red zone. The six futile attemps to score on the one drive should be all any Owner needs to see on Arian's coaching abilities. But were stuck with him as our prize for winning it all. I WILL TAKE THAT ANY DAY FOR THE SIX PACK. :subngtowl:
