Teen Sent Home For Wearing Steelers Jersey To School In AZ
Friday, January 30, 2009 – updated: 4:07 pm EST January 30, 2009

A teen with Pittsburgh roots was sent home from school in Arizona for sporting a football jersey that wasn't red and white.

Tristan Carrick, 13, wore his Pittsburgh Steelers jersey to Stepping Stones Academy in Phoenix as part of Spirit Day.

Students were encouraged to wear their red and white in support of the Arizona Cardinals. The team will play our Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Carrick had on a Hines Ward jersey. The No. 86 on his back and black and gold colors got him sent home.

Reminds me of a kid in Ohio a decade who was suspended for wearing a Steelers jersey on Browns spirit day and a couple days later we beat the Brownies by a score of uh.......43-0

A reminder..........Don't mess with the NATION!

I bet their "support" only consists of about 15 jersey's out of around 200 kids not including staff.
Fuckin' people have no idea of what being a fan is. Posers.
