Lebeau, coming back next year
Report: LeBeau to return in '09Comment Email Print ESPN.com news services
The Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive architect will return for another season in 2009.
Dick LeBeau told his players in a team meeting Wednesday that he intends to return as the team's defensive coordinator.
"I would never make any kind of decision without the guys in that room, like my son, knowing first," LeBeau said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "The way they're playing, they're going to have to run me out of here."
The 71-year-old LeBeau is in his second stint with the Steelers. He has 36 seasons of coaching experience and has been associated with the NFL for 50 years.
Under LeBeau's leadership, the Steelers have finished first in overall defense the past two seasons.

Re: Lebeau, coming back next year
It's good to know the luckiest defensive coordinator in the NFL will be with us for a while longer. It's better to be lucky than good!
