Peter King on Ben
King..who is a toolbag to the highest...made interesting point in article. King said that Ben was looking down at the ground while seated at his locker after winning Super Bowl XL etcsaying Ben had a terrible game having forced most of his passes. Anyway, King asked ARE who was at Sundays game for NFL network (who threw only Pitt TD in Super Bowl XL) about Ben in this his second Super Bowl and ARE said he expects big things...anyway are any of you concerned that Ben might fold under the Super Bowl pressure as King hinted at in his article?
Re: Peter King on Ben
I'm more confident in him to deliver this time, I'll be surprised if he doesn't have a good game.
he was probably feeling down after the game despite the win because he played poorly. i'm sure this time he will prepare better after going through that experience

Re: Peter King on Ben
Despite what I speculated in an earlier post, Ben seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
He's learned from the mistakes of the past (i.e., pick 6 to Rodney Harrison in 2004) and said as much in the post game (i.e., he wasn't going to get into a manhood contest with Ed Reed this year), so I think that he plays much better in this years Super Bowl.
Plus, he's gotta tool that bag boy Warner. Somebody has to. They've got a poll up on ESPN asking if the guy is a HoF QB if he wins this year, ferchrissakes.

Re: Peter King on Ben
I think Ben has grown up a lot since then. He came through brilliantly at home under pressure, with a limited running game all season long. In my opinion, this season was where Ben learned that it's ok to just throw the ball away if necessary, instead of forcing a throw downfield or getting slammed to the turf from holding onto the ball for too long. Unfortunately, it took about 100 sacks over the last 2 seasons for him to realize that, but it's all good. Ben is making great decisions and I think he is in for a great super bowl.

If Ben doesn't perform well it will be cause either the line does no protect him or because Arizona's coaching staff knows him so well.
Re: Peter King on Ben
My faith in Ben has been restored with these 2 playoff performances. He's played with a ton of heart, made good decisions but has also improvised to make plays when needed, and he's been a leader. I think he will come up huge in the SB (providing that the braintrust gets together and comes up with a better clock management strategy...jeesh)

McLovin sick of hearing that Whiz knows Ben so well...McLovin sure Ben had his favorite routes that he told Whiz to call with greater frequency etc. Hell the whole league knows Ben and our OL don't like the blitz so no great insight there for Whiz. The one thing Whiz can't account for is Ben scrambling and making big plays as he did with Holmes on Sunday. Give McLovin a break we all know Ben is no rocket scientist you don't have to be a Whiz to figure his game out... he is an improvisor who does his best work on the fly.
