My favorite part of the game...

Postby Hines' Pearly Whites » Mon Jan 19, 2009 7:13 pm

Hearing 65,000+ crazed fans chanting "Here we go Steelers, here we go!" during the second half. I don't have surround sound installed on my TV or anything yet, but that was still fantastic to hear.

I wish all of Stiller Nation could of been there to witness it. You'll always have your people who like to sit in and watch it on their HD's. For me, nothing ever beats sitting in the stands cheering with the Faithful.

Unfortunately my only game at Heinz Field was the 04 Chanpionship game against the Cheatriots. Wasn't much to "Here we go" about that day. Plus it was colder than F***.

That's ok. The black and gold more than made up for it the next season when I got to go to Detroit and see a Stiller victory. But almost as good was the playoff game in Cincy. OMG those fans were freakin pissed when Plamer got hurt. We almost got in 2 fights before we could get out of that stadium.

I don't know what it is, but hearing a home crowd put together a well-executed chant like that is, for me, just about the ultimate sports experience.

I can remember playing a playoff game in high school and hearing our home crowd of about 3,000 people getting the "De-fence!" chant going. I can't even imagine what it'd be like to have that experience in front of 65,000 Steeler fans.

Anyone who says the crowd can't positively influence the home team deserves a hearty "Bullshit!", in my opinion.

we'll hear it again in tampa...i agree with what someone said on another thread i started, ninety percent stiller fans. i believe it'd be that way if we played in arizona....remember how this shit ass team had to have two extensions from the nfl just to sell out their first home playoff game in how many decades? and the only way they did it was because some company bought the tickets and gave them away.

The NFL loves it when the Steelers are in the Superbowl. Ratings will be 95% Stiller Fans.

Agree on that one. The super bowl will make its money from the Stiller nation. I have been to a steeler raven game in Baltimore. That was my only game so far and wasn't that much fun. It was the year we won the super bowl so I can say I saw that team. I really want to go to Heinz field someday. I heard its amazing. I hope Pittsburgh can win this Super Bowl and put away all the doubt everyone had on Big Ben and he can finally show that he is a great QB in the Stiller History. :subngtowl:
