Will Willie be able to run against the Cards?
Long sustained drives to keep their offense off the field as much as possible is the best recipe for beating the Cards.

Or knocking out Fitzgerald.

if the stillers even put consitent lite pressure on warner the games over, hes as bad as thy come when theres the slightest bit of pressure. no pressure and hes as good as there is....
the steelers play like the eagles d dmost of the 2nd half, all game and its lites out...

I really hope so. We don't want to get in a shootout with those guys. If we can pound it like we did against the Chargers, #6 is ours for sure!

The Stillers got parker around the left end for a big gain early on...and it was quick hitting, then Arians left that play alone...how can you not go back to it until they stop it...they kept running slow to develop plays up the middle...
Parker needs to hit the line fast and make his cuts past the line of scrimmage.
I like the I, but against the raven it looked slower to develo than it did against the Chargers...i knwo that is because of the Ravens defense to a certain degree...but why not go back to plays that work...

Arians, to his credit, ran against the Ravens...although, his play choices (running up the MIDDLE) might not have been the greatest.
Thus, I expect him to run, run, run against the Cardinals...with much success.
47 yards against the Ravens is akin to 110 yards against any other team.

I think we can run against the Cards. Philly had 18 rushes for I think 92 yards. That is 5 a clip. Andy Reid is always quick to abandon the run plus the were down 24-6 early in the 2nd half.
The only way we do not run on the Cards is if Arians does not allow us too. Those up the middle plays are needed (to a point). With Willies speed he can get to the second level with the quick hitters. However, there needs to be more plays around the end or off tackle.
What ever happend to the quick pitch to get him to the corner. Or some misdirection like Tenn did to us on the 4th and 1 play (C. Johnson took 20yds for a TD). You know those would work.
I thought Willie would get a few more yards on the Baltimore defense was I was looking for 75.

Where the HELL was McHugh as a blocking FB?!?!?!
Didn't Arians learn anything last week against SD? Willie IS NOT A GOOD RUNNER WHEN HE LINES UP ALL ALONE IN THE BACK FIELD
...especially up the middle...
Jeez, it's not friggin' rocket science!!

Steeledge;
Agree, Arians run calls showed no imagination and did little to throw the ratbirds off balance.
Even the Bus needed a FB against these guys.
Typical Arians. The two biggest obstacles we have to winning the Super Bowl are Fitzgerald and Arians.

I would definitely put Arians at the top of our list of obstacles, but I think our OL is second on the list over Fitz...
Interesting how Arians' game plan has either exposed the OL or made them look like studs, and really with very minor adjustments.
It's so frustrating that he just doesn't consistently get it...
Somebody mentioned the Iggles 2H yesterday, and since that's going to be our defensive style for the entire game, Larry F. should be a non-factor.
