Skip Bayless like Balt. over Pgh in this one. Normally, I like when the suits pick against us, but this one bothers me b/c Skip is one of the rare guys who usually gets his picks right. There are only a few things that make me take the mute button off the TV throughout my morning and day:

Mike and Mike
Skip Bayless - first and 10
Jim Rome
Pardon the Interruption (if they are talking football)
The Bachelor

I hope Skip has this one wrong. It will be one of the few times he misses, but I am sure he misses some. Crossing my fingers that this is one of his misses.

I think Skip Dickless is the worst prognosticator/talking head EVER. The guy has ZERO fucking clue about ANYTHING. His typical way of doing things is picking or saying the most abstract shit in order to draw attention to himself. That douchbag picked Seattle in SB XL if I'm not mistaken.

I would assume he's referring to Jesse Palmer, who was on "The Bachelor" for a season (hey, not like football was going anywhere for him). That said, I had thought he only did college football and not NFL, but whatever.

As for Skip, he's definitely an ass. As OptionCoach says, he takes the position opposite the public opinion for no other reason than so people will talk about him. The guy has no knowledge of what he's talking about, and no real basis for anything he says. He just rants and raves, then smiles as the hate mail comes in cause he knows people are paying attention to him.

Didn't sound so dumb here. He absolutely nailed, eventually, what was going to happen to Dallas. He figured it out, on the spot - after saying they'd make it, he correctly figured out exactly what was wrong with Dallas and that they would miss the play offs. Call him names if you want to, but Skip nails most his takes.

In this soundbite he said that 8-Mile was a "not only good, but great!"..8-Mile a great movie??? I think not...case and point he makes bold statements and that keeps him on tv. But whatever works for him, you won't find me joining you anytime soon in the Skip Bayless fanclub

So let me get this straight. Skip Bayless, a hyperbolic contrarian, has picked a lot of upsets that came true? Shocking!

Seriously, this is the guy who said that Tim Tebow is going to will himself to be a great NFL QB, on par with Brett Favre. Read that again, he compared Tebow to Favre. You can't say many dumber things than that about football. There is a slight chance Tebow becomes a good NFL QB. If he's right, he's a genius, if wrong, he's like everyone else who knows nothing about evaluating prospects.

So what if he chose the Ravens? He's taking the underdog. It's not like he has any super-power to predict games. The Steelers and Ravens are virtually even in their performances this season. Steelers slightly better on O and D and worse on ST. Given home-field and the Ravens' injuries I say that puts our chances well over 50%. So if the Ravens win it won't be b/c Skip Bayless took them. Individual performance varies and luck plays a huge factor.

And really, Skip Bayless taking the Ravens worries you? He's the worst sports writer out there (now that Smizik retired.)

He states what he believes. 8 Mile was decent. I wouldn't personally call it great but it's not like it was bad. I agree he knows bold statements help him get attention. Good for him. It's working for him
