I have said it once, and I will say it again. LaWood saw the greatest benefit of the BYE week. It was his first season as a starter. He seemed to be really tired and gassed at the end of the season. He still had good games, but was missing that explosiveness that we were all missing. However that fire returned last week, and we will need it Sunday, because Silverback will get two Tackles holding him this week, instead of just one.

I find myself enjoying Palmer Sucks articles even more and more. You find yourself nodding your head up and down w/o even realizing it. I feel better about the game after reading this. Thanks!

Question.

Why don't NFL offenses use the 4WR/RB or 5 wide spread offense in goal line situations? Seems to me if you have recievers away from the line, you also pull defenders and give your QB the sneak/pass option and make it easier on the RB. I can't recall seeing it and there must be a reason, but I can't think of one.

Also loved the article. Flacco has been protected all season and his mistakes cost Baltimore the 2 games against the Stillers.

I would love to see the Steelers use the fast strike approach that SD used against the Steelers early last week. A quick TD to put Flacco behind the 8-ball and force him to make plays that he hasn't shown he can make.

GO STEELERS!!!!

Naturally, I hope we slaughter the Ravens 100-0 and yes they were lucky to get by Tennessee. I'm glad they did, since I'd rather play them at home than the Titans away.

Having said that, Flacco may not have WON those 2 playoff games, but the key is that he hasn't LOST them, either. No turnovers, aided by good pass pro. We MUST slow down their big back and pressure Flacco.

That is all.

I am with you on making them pay for the Ratbirds best offensive play-hide the rookie quarterback. If the stiller make them pay like we should, we will see a blow-out like what we had to endure when Ben was a rookie.

I completely agree. His article is dead in my opinion. We almost have the same forecast for the score also. I have been feeling pretty good about this game all along and feel the Stillers will roll early and give 'em a 27-9 beatdown or maybe even worse. We will totally show off the rookie for what he is. The Ratbirds will not be able to hide him against us like in our previous two meetings. He will have to try and win it for them and fail miserably.

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!! FIRST TO SIX ALL THE WAY!!!

Ahhh, I remember the days when Palmersucks took it from people about his man obsession but guess what! Palmer Sucks! And Palmersucks has matured into not just an engaging and high octane writer, but spot on with many of his observations! (since I'm looking everywhere to pass the time before kickoff) Let me review.

Don't buy it for a minute. Oh sure, there'll be hits, and knowing the Ravens, some late ones -- but this time things should be different. Because World War 3 should be more like Murder 1.

Why? Because the Baltimore Ravens are a mirage, a fraud, a three-dollar bill, running on fumes and smoke to go with the mirrors on the sides of their helmets. Just separate the hype from the facts, and you’ll see.

OK, now I'm listening, it's what I was thinking all along.

Week after week, I mock the Ravens for playing Hide the Quarterback, and week after week they make me look bad. But how? How have they pulled off this trick?

Horray! Somebody gets it!

but lack of pressure (and turnovers) rendered him harmless.

To the point that many have Flippo the clown as their choice of franchise QB selected from this year's playoof stock! Oh yes, I've read it more than once in several places. I'll continue further down.

The Ravens have an interesting way of protecting Flacco; rather than just give him safe dump offs, they often let him throw deep, on non-pressure downs. The TD he threw against the Titans was a prime example. Reviewing the play, I saw the Ravens send 4 guys on go routes -- Flacco only had to read the safety, and throw it where he wasn't.

As much as people make of Flacco's big arm, the fact is his pass was underthrown: it was Mason's slow-up that made the play work.

Big arm Joe Cool mistake free is a mirage, I don't see any indication that Flacco can win a game if he has to, just avoid losing it. One can just look at his play (when he even didn't have to win) at home against the Steelers, tally up a 22.2 passer rating. Good work son!

Is it me, or does he sound a lot like Tony Romo here?

I especially like this one since Romo has only played two games in is career with the temp under 40º,OR with parcipitation! He lost both.

take the scoring at least into the 20s rather than down into the teens.

I've said it myself, (and to borrow an Easterbrook prase) Once the Steelers score 20 or more points in this one, I will jot down in my notes, 'Game Over'.

- The decison to go for it on 4th and goal was 100 percent the right call. All that lacked was the execution.

Just to point out the obvious.

- Speaking of Hartwig, turns out he's been the star pickup of the season. Word is Hartwig's been hosting some skull sessions at his place for the 0-line; wonder how many times Mahan did that last year?

Right, and I didn't know about that second part.

Thing to be practicing for Sunday: running downfield and having defenders try to rip the ball out of your hands.

This is the way the Ravens make a living (other than holding a ball carrier for other to break his back), and we must be awair of this. This is the only reason the Ravers are the media choice of being the best defense in the league (besides their media chest pounding), is the highlight splash plays. Our defense just stops you, and needn't rely on strips after they fail to stop a play.

I just wanted to end this with something you may not be thinking about: imagine if Modell had never moved his team out of Cleveland. Right now we'd be jawing it up with Brownies fans -- you don't think things would be 10 times more heated than they are right now?

In my case NO! The Ravens have molded a team that use Plaistinian media tactics, and sell their own self thuggary when in fact when the meat is in the pudding for them to prove their own press, the shit just hits the fan. I hate the Ravens more than any other team and always will. I say their are automatic top 5 hated teams for me by default, but it takes teams like the Patriots of late, to temporarily bump the Ravens from owning that top crown.

Fuck the Ravens all the way to Sunday!

Oh, good job and great read.
