James Harrison didn't desrve the Hard Hat, but did deserve an acknowledgment, because he was held more than Michael Jackson's nuts. And still got extreme pressure on the QB.

Good call StillMill;

Parker and Kiesel were the shinning stars.

The O-line as a whole was also worthy but that was a group not individual effort.

I just hope it is a tough call and we have a lot of worthy candidates next week.

Agree with the selections of FWP and Kiesel, plus I'd give an honorable mention to Ben. He didn't have super stats and he did miss a couple throws, but his overall quarterbacking and leadership were very very good.

Let's see if I can tie together a few points. Mill applauded Tomlin for not punting on 4th down late in the second quarter even though this led to a Chargers FG - and woke up the Steelers' offense. Big Ben is an enigma: probably no QB is better in the 4th quarter and the last two minutes of the first half. But he seems to have trouble getting started - a problem compounded against the Chargers because of some stupid penalties that stalled promising drives. Because the running game opened up the passing game, I stand by the selection of FWP in lieu of Big Ben.

By the way, Arians did very well last weekend; he should try to run FWP wide as well as up the middle if the offensive line can approximate last week's performance. In addition, Arians has to have Big Ben throw deep with some frequency. The weakest link in the Ravens defense is their secondary and the prospect of a big play thorugh a penalty or a long completion is worth the risk.

Closing thoughts: Looking ahead, I have previously expressed concern about seeing the Ravens for a third time because I was skittish about the Steelers' ability to go 3-0 against a good team. But the stars have aligned for Pittsburgh this week: the Ravens had the tougher game last week (the thug quotient during the TN-Ravens game was off the charts); the Steelers are more rested and in better health; and I can't believe Flacco will do any better on Sunday than he did in the previous two games this year. Besides, the Steelers deserved to win the second game; it was the first game that was a gift.

I agree with Willie Parker being the pick,

but I also feel the offensive line deserves a bit of credit, and yes, Justin Hartwig, did quite an improved job at pass protection, and run blocking.

The difference in the O-line's performance was very noticeable from previous outings.

Can't argue with the picks though I say Woodley is just as deserving as Deisel.... touro, you write like a professor. And drop that can't beat a good team three times" garbage. It has been proven false, baby. Strap on the hard hats, boys.
