View topic - Steelers fight song (Here we go)

I only start listening to these songs once a Championship game is on the horizon,
but was wondering if there was a new version to the "HERE WE GO" song (the
version I have still says "with Cowher Power we'll get the job done").

Or in that regard, are there any really good new polka or other fight songs???
Would love to blast them while driving around in my Jeep out here in Diego.
So so so glad I don't have to hear that annoying SAN-DIEGO-SUPER-CHARGERS
song anymore!!!!

If it wasn't so damn bad out, I was going to go check all local Walmarts or K-marts today for Here We Go. There was an article in the Post-Gazette today that it is indeed updated for the game. Keep your eye open for it. Other than that, there are thousands of songs out there.. the new one being the Ghost-busters theme.

Personally... I don't ever recall anything that was "Steelers", "polka", and "good"... all in one. Not so sure about a Steelers fight song either. Preeeeetty sure if it exists, it's not hanging around with good.

Would love to blast them while driving around in my Jeep out here in Diego

As funny as that sounded the first time reading, you don't realize how LUCKY you are to be in THAT situation based on what smheart78 said. That said, are there any new people out there like myself from Baltimore? Either you're with us or against us. (Yeah. I've been reading. I said it. Us.)

This year's BETTER have some focus on defense. I think that's why you thought it was so short, smheart.

Dude, of course there were (and are) GREAT Stiller polka-style fight songs, all the way back to Franco's Italian Army and Gerela's Gorillas. But I guess we'll let you slide because you're from Baltimore.

Roger Wood, who wrote the song, polled the city via the Post-Gazette after ring no. 5/BC's departure and replaced:

"with Cowher power, we'll get the job done, this the year we'll get that one fer da' thumb."

with:

"the Steeler nation has the best fans, we are from Pittsburgh, the five time Super Bowl champs."

as for where to procure the song, I cannot help you.

Well I took that clip from YouTube with the new verses (2 of them) at the front and spliced it into the old one. So now I have a nearly 'updated' complete version all except the last version about the defense.... can I post the .mp3 up here somehow? I also added 5 seconds at the beginning of an old NFL Films video where fans are chanting the "Here We Go" chant.
Good stuff.
