was Polamalu ill on Sunday?
I had heard that but not seen it in writing.
I thought he was very sluggish looking and this would explain it - he will come back STRONG this weekend

Re: was Polamalu ill on Sunday?
Yes, he was ill.
I heard it on a radio show after the game. Sounded like some type of stomach flu or issue.
Mentioned he was going right after the game for treatment. Not sure if that ment to a doctor, hospital or just home.
He should be well over it today or tomorrow. However, hopefully, it will not be an issue with his strength for the Baltimore game.

Ed Douchette made no reference to it maybe he will in his gay weekly chats. We can only assume that Troy will be fine...give him some pepto and immodium and watch his hairy, leaky ass make some damn tackles this week!
Re: was Polamalu ill on Sunday?
Word is now out that he had a calf injury and it is still lingering. He won't be out for Sunday though.

yes, from espn.com
PITTSBURGH -- Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu potentially could miss practice time this week after injuring his calf before the Steelers' 35-24 victory over the San Diego Chargers, but coach Mike Tomlin said Polamalu is expected to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Polamalu strained his calf during pregame warm-ups and barely made it on the field in time for the opening kickoff against the Chargers. He played the entire game but finished with only three tackles.
"We're at the point in the season where it's about getting ready to play and being at the very best that you can be on game day," Tomlin said Tuesday. "If that means sacrificing a little physical preparation for him, we're willing to do that."
Polamalu is tied for second in the NFL with seven interceptions and plays a significant role in the league's top-rated defense. His 73 regular-season tackles ranked fourth on the team.

I thought maybe he had a spat with the old lady before the game which was weighing on his mind. Didn't realize T.P. 43 was playing sick.

Douchette in his chat script said that Tomlin said that Troy did in fact hurt the calf in warm-ups. He will be needed to thwart the multiple back attack to be used by the Ravens. Hartwig hurt a knee during the game as well but should be fine for the game Sunday. Hartwig has impressed McLovin' with his durability this season as he'd been more than injury prone at Carolina.
