Any Names...
...interest you guys to replace Arians next year? Listen, the guy called an ok game yesterday. It's amazing how good the offense looks with a running game and Ben not running for his life. But does one game save this guy's job? McLovin wants Tomlin to hire Scott Linehan former ram coach and Viking OC. McLovin doesn't think Linehan with the Vikes when Tomlin was however to merit a coaching connection. Anyway, Linehan is committed to run and the deep ball and had success mostly with Vikes but some with the dolphins. BUT the guy is already getting interviews for OC position most recently today with 49ers. McLovin' not rushing an end to the playoffs, but with potential OC candidates already getting interviews who is going to be left for the Steelers should Arians be fired?

Don't you worry Mclovin he will not get fired and just in case by some miracle he does we have Bubby Brister waiting in the wings.......Oh wait he's the next QB coach....... yeah but we'll just promote the equipment manager then we'll be fine.

I think that a random number generator or a 14 year old kid with an XBox might be able to do the job, and at quite the discount, too.

Re: Any Names...
even if we get it all right in the next month. 1 sweep baltimore, 2 win superbowl, have parade, 3 fire aians.
they would probably move ken anderson to that position of OC he and ben seem to have a rapport. He also was able to get Leftwich up to speed on the playbook real fast.

The coach that just got fired from BC, wouldn't be too bad. He was a pro offensive line coach and eventaul OC(for Brett Favre's Packers). worth a shot right?

Re: Any Names...
You guys are ridiculous.
I have said since midway thru the season, a team that accumulates 11 to 13 wins just won't fire a coach. So, unless your boss is AJ Smith, you give me an example of a team firing a cordinator after a 12-4 season and a trip to the AFCCG? Just won't happen, so please stop talking about it. Your just going to have to get use to Bruce sticking around for another run.
And I hate it more than anyone. If Mill has ever been right on the money with his critisism, it has been that of Bruce Arians.
We are just going to have to eat that!

Add the Pats as another team that will be needing an OC with Josh McDaniels taking over in Denver. The Steelers have an opportunity to win another Super Bowl despite Arians many noted short comings as an OC including the disappearance of a running game and the continued pounding taken by our $100 mil qb. Does a Super Bowl win save this guys job???

I agree that Arians should be fired. However, with our current situation in the AFCC, I believe we should reserve all such discussion of replacements until the season is over. Attention should be made to the task at hand....Baltimore.

That's kind of the point. The Steelers and of course their fans ARE focused on the Ravens. All of these other non-playoff teams get to hire coaches and coordinators yet the Steelers are handcuffed to Arians for at least another week and hopefully 3 weeks. Unless a promotion would come from within' it would seem that McLovin' and his fellow Arians haters will be stuck with this putz of a man for another season. Oh and if Jeff Jagz formerly of BC was to be available hopefully AFTER a Super Bowl win McLovin would push him to the front of the line to replace Arians.

Although I really hate to say it since I despise Arians as much as anyone, I think Bucky here is right.
However, there's been some amount of stupid media fawning over this guy for being a "genius" ( ), and if we do win the SB, his stock might rise dramatically.
One of the doofus owners (Al Davis, anyone?) might see and covet him for a HC spot somewhere else, and Ben and Mike, et al, could really talk him up to try to make the sale. At the very least, they could get someone else (Mangini and the Brownies?) to offer him a huge raise to make a jump.
That way, we could all part ways on good terms without any firings, he could go fuck up somebody else's program, and we could get a big upgrade at OC (at this point, a stone with bird shit on it would be a big upgrade)...
any thoughts?
of course, none of this until AFTER we win number 6...
Wha make you tink I won cutchu, mang?!?
Re: Any Names...
McLovin' would stroke out big time if a team were dumb enough to hire Arians for anything let alone a head coaching position even if it is with the Raiders. That said if Arians can put together just two more game plans that were as successful as that against the chargers it will all be good with McLovin no matter what Tomlin ends up doing with him. Now what to do with larry porn...

How about drafting him some players he can work with for a change.
Get him excited enough about his job that he can "keep his hands off" his filthy habits...

You're gonna "head" the advice of your "pears"?!?
Now THAT'S "Hiliarious" !!!
We're only a couple of weeks away from starting that conversation, and it's one I'm eager to have, too...
