Sproals Hype

Postby thesteelhammer » Sun Jan 11, 2009 11:25 pm

One of the pregame questions on CBS was if sproals would have 200 all purpose yards.
I think 3 of 4 said yes.

He rushed for 15 yards on 11 carries and also caught five passes for 91 yards and one touchdown in the game.

That's 106 plus his return yards, anyone seen what they were?

This is right from the NFL.com box score, not sure how much of this was Sproles? He did have that one long return, I bet he got close.

TOTAL RETURN YARDAGE (excludes Kickoffs) 4
Punt Returns (Number-Yards) 3 - 4
Kickoff Returns (Number-Yards) 6 - 171

Plus, the defense knew that this one was in the bag and looked like they didn't want to risk a stupid injury by playing all out on those last two drives.

You can bet that if the game were closer, SD doesn't score those last two TDs, especially not that ridiculous 62 yard pitch and catch.

If it's true Troy P. had a bowel ailment then the second half let down in the secondary will be averted next week with his healthy return. Take some pepto or immodium and Troy will be all good! McLovin' respects Flaccos deep passes but he doesn't have the weapons that Phil Rivers does. No worries its all good.

Pittsburgh doesn't need another RB and will not cut FWP, Moore, or Mendenhall

I meant what will he command on the open market thanks primarily to the Colts game - not that the Steelers would ever consider signing this guy
