Another distraction of the Ravens
Looks like The New York Jets will interview Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan about their coaching vacancy.

Speaking of which, there should be some sort of a hiring/interviewing freeze during the playoffs. It's bad for the teams (distraction) and prospective coaches on playoff teams.

I always thought there was a freeze...
It is stupid that there isn't.

McLovin feels this lack of a hiring freeze will potentially hurt the Steelers if they in fact decide to fire Arians. Potential OC candidates such as Scott Linehan are going to be hired by the time the Steelers either win the Super Bowl or exit the playoffs.

Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is the front-runner for the New York Jets head coaching vacancy. Team owner Woody Johnson and general manager Mike Tannenbaum met with Ryan for five hours Sunday, Jan. 11, in Baltimore and the two sides are said to have hit it off in a big way.

MORE DISTRACTIONS:
Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns interviewed Baltimore Ravens director of pro personnel George Kokinis Sunday, Jan. 11, for the team's vacant general manager position and the interview went well, according to a source. However, if the Browns decide to hire Kokinis, they can't do so until the Ravens grant them permission - and Kokinis will be heavily involved in scouting for the AFC Championship game. It is conceivable Kokinis will be unavailable for hire until after the Super Bowl Feb. 1.
