The Stillers had a very good regular season.

They exceeded expectations; that's for sure.

A lot of people, before the start of the season, were saying 8-8 or 9-7 would be a good record for them this year. I didn't really think about this before the season, but if I would have picked out 9 games that I wanted them to win the most, they would have been:
Cowboys
Patriots
Jaguars
every AFC North game.

Damn if they didn't win every one of those. And 3 more games on top of that. AND the Cowboys and Patriots both just barely missed the playoffs. A win over the Stillers, instead of a loss, would have put them in the playoffs (all other things being equal to reality). So the Stillers played a big role in keeping the hated Cowboys and Pats out of the playoffs.

The Steelers D was the best defense to grace an NFL field in years. Of course, the offense sucked, but overall, it's been a really good season.

You know what would put the icing on the cake? A postseason win. Or 3.

I thought our lock losses would've been the Jags, Patsies, and Ravens away game. We played all these teams gritty. But, the playoffs is when your weaknesses get exposed and we have some glaring weaknesses on offense. I don't think our defense is strong enough to shut everyone down all the way to the Superbowl.

Trust me, we are ready. We are battle tested more than ever. If we get by San Diego, we are going to the Super Bowl. And If we get to that level, I like our chances against any remaining NFC opponent. Tennessee and Baltimore are going to beat the piss out of each other and then have to face us. Once again, I like our chances. It is always hard to beat a team 3 times in one year, but Ben vs. Hacko, I'll choose Ben.

Its simple, If we do not turn the ball over we are going to win the Super Bowl. I know thats what a lot of teams could say, but its the only thing stopping us from winning. AND AIRHEAD ARIANS, will be better, because they know this is it. We are going balls to the wall, get the lead early then turtle the football. At least I hope.

A very good regular reason is fine and all...

Don't get me wrong... I was one that anticipated 9-10 wins myself. NEVER would I believed otherwise at the start of the season.

For the most part, the defense has played lights out.

Now... As Stillers fans... We all know that once they get into the post-season... The REAL nail-biting begins. They've had a history of screwing the pooch come playoff time more-so than not.

Satisfaction will come with the 6th Lombardi. Otherwise, nothing else matters.

But yeah... It's certainly been a fun season either way.

Never thought they would manage more than 10 wins this season.... and thought 10 would be a blessing. Amazing defense is the reason obviously. This season has been a blessing. Our 3 most hated teams are completed out of the playoffs (Pats, Cowboys, and Colts). Yes, the Colts... I'm still pissed Manning beat Chicago for his stupid ring. I live in San Diego so I sure as shit hope they kick some serious ass this weekend.

San Diego has no chance.. Steelers win this thing by 2 TD's.

I like where we've been and look forward to where we're going. Don't forget that LeBeau prides himself in putting in a new wrinkle for the post season. Remember the Colts game in the 2005 run? I expect to see some interesting stuff in the following weeks.

Can't say I'm all that surprised at our record this season. I had us going 11-5 this year and the #2 seed with losses to Philly, Jacksonville, Washington, New England and the away Baltimore game. My division winners were New England, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and San Diego with wild card teams Indy and Denver. So I got 4 out of 6 right. I had the Steelers beating Tennessee in the divisional round and losing to New England in the AFCC game.

I expect bigger and better things out of this team next year. Possibly a 14-2 or 15-1 record. AFC West and NFC North are on the schedule and we get both division winners at home. No Pats or Colts. Dolphins and Titans are due to take a step back next year. Stains and Bungles are locks for 4 wins.
