"Nothing has been easy for these ’08 Stillers, and it doesn’t figure this div playoff game will be easy, either."
Says it in a nutshell.
Only decent team Stillers really clobbered this year was the Patriots. Yeah we played a tough schedule but we didn't dominate either. We had a middling record against playoff calibre-teams.

Re: New Article: Chargers-2 -- The Keys to Beating the Bolts
The only key to beating the Chargers, IMO, is to limit the stupid mistakes.
Honestly.
In the first meeting, the Steelers dominated in every facet of the game besides the score and that was due to costly errors.
I just am hoping the Steelers win-for obvious reason, I'm a Steelers fan and-so that they shut up the talking faces who are all jumping on the Chargers bandwagon. Ever since the Steelers made it fashionable and the Colts and Giants followed suit, they're all looking for that "hot" WC round team to come out and smoke everyone on the way to the big dance. It is time to end that noise for the Chargers, an 8-8 team that barely squeaked in to the playoffs ahead of at least one other more deserving team.
I'm not guaranteeing a win, because I don't care what anyone says, I'm superstitious and talking that shit always seems to cause bad juju and I'm not going to be a part of that. However, I do hope that they win and I'll be rooting for them to pull it off.

We also have to overcome Jeff Tripplette and crew.
Yes- Tripplette- he with the "How can we hand this game to Indianapolis" bullshit overturn of Polamalu's INT in the '05 AFCDG.

The Titans are the lesser of two evils?
How can you say that? The Steelers beat the Ravens twice and the Titans dominated the Steelers in every aspect.
*shrugs*
Be careful what you ask for. ;)

We've seen both teams.
Right or wrong, it's an educated opinion.

Mill, Lets just hope LeBeau remembers that Timmons is athletic AND harriosn is a Sack Machine. While Silverback can do it all, he exceeds at stripping QBs as he busts their heads. If he is in coverage all game, like he was in some of the later games of the year, we will be sunk.

It's about how much respect Steelers fans have for their defense.
They hit hard. People get hurt.
You'd have that respect also if your team played them twice a year.

Perhaps not to you, but think about it.
Other than the Pats/Colts, when is the last time that a team truly dominated another team both in the regular season and in the playoffs?
Then try to think of a team that has beaten another team three times (regular season and playoffs).
I might be missing something, but I can't think of a lot of examples for either scenario.

I believe the Steelers beat the Houston Oilers three times in the same season during the Bum Phillips "kick down the door period". I'm probably showing my age.

Simple. The Titans are the lesser of two evils. They are are inferior team. They lost to the Jets and Texans. Duh. Enjoy your morning on Saturday. Your evening's gonna suck.

TitanSteve,
I think Ed Reed said it best. Look out, Tennessee...the Ravens are the team you don't want to play.

What does not make much sense is a troll from a team that has accomplished absolutely nothing in what 7 years stating that they are absolutely great. When was their last divisional championship? When was their last Playoff victory? How many winning seasons have they had in the last 10 years, This is a team with not much favorable playoff experience and a QB that is smart but not physically able to handle much punishment playing for a team that utilizes the run more than the pass (Hmmmm wonder where fisher got that idea?) and it has worked well except when a Defense has stopped their run and we all know that Tenn is not going to be able to overcome a 2+ score deficit against a quality team with their passing game in the Playoffs. But I understand you exitment but you might want to prepare for a let down. We will see what happens when Baltimore comes with it. As far as schedule If you guys are so dominate how did Houston physically kick your butts? They beat you not with skill or finesse they simply got in your face and beat you down and that was Houston just imagine what Baltimore will do to you physically. Yeah we hate Baltimore and I doubt many here want to see them win against anyone but we respect the Ravens as much as we dislike them and that is why when you watch a Raven Steeler game you get a good idea what Playoff football will be like PHYSICAL, HARD HITTING IN YOUR FACE FOOTBALL Evidently you never watched a Pgh Balt. game. I bet you Fisher has, where do you think he learned some of his best lessons. And I guarantee you Fisher and Company are burning the candles at both ends and they are not so confident in winning this game.. Baltimore is dangerous to you even if you win it will most likely come at a price.

If there ever was a game that had the fix on for point spread by the refs this was it. We should have scored alot more points.
A lot of penalties on us on there side of the field.
lets not forget the ending, after review (duhhhhh) take those points away!
u have to love there explanation of why its not a TD afterwards, hey sounds good to me.
May TENN vs BALT be a real knockout contest.

Titan Steve should get out of his mom's basement and go get a life...
Why the hell is everyone talking about the Titans and the Ravens? San Diego is playing just as well as anyone right now so I hope no one is overlooking that fact. And yes, we usually beat the Chargers at home during the regular season, but in the playoffs we're 0-2 at home against the Bolts in the playoffs. Our defense has been playing well and has been keeping us in games, but we haven't been able to establish a consistent run game and Ben is coming off a concussion.
In order for us to win, a few things are going to need to happen... and Mill touched on most of them. The most obvious is that Arians needs to get his head out of his ass and not COMPLETELY shut down when we get into the red zone... everyone in the league has seen the famous red zone - 2 plunges up the middle that inevitably get stuffed, 3rd and long which obviously doesn't convert, field goal scenario. Take the control away from Arians and run NO HUDDLE! Definitely need to get Mewelde more involved! And on defense we need to make sure Gates doesn't light us up w/ the mid range passing attack... the Titans exposed that a bit when they realized Foote has no range and has cement in his shoes. Pressure pretty boy Philip! Can't give him time to hit 6-5 Vincent Jackson downfield.
Lastly, our special teams need to step up. We need good punt returns so we're not forced to drive 80 yards each time like Indy. And we need Berger to be 28 years old again and punt the ball over 50 yards...

"Only when Parker and Mendenhall were injured was Moore, out of desperation, given a good opportunity to produce."
Don't forget Davis. Tomlin was running fuckin Davis AHEAD of Moore after all of the aforementioned. Only after Davis sprained his ankle was Moore allowed a crack at toting the rock.

Stillers win THIS matchup versus the Bolts rather handily...by 2 touchdowns.
Mark it down.
