View topic - Khalif Barnes or Max Starks???

Other than Jordan Gross of the Carolina Panthers I think Barnes is the best LT available in free agency. There are others of course but Barnes just finished his 4th yr and I'd be much more incline to sign him then some 10 or 11 yr pro who is on the way down.

So, would you sign Barnes or Starks given equal contracts???

I've never been a big fan of Starks and I think since he is already making $6.9 million a yr he won't be willing to take a pay cut to say $5 or $6 million a year.

I just HOPE and PRAY they get some good lineman in free agency. I like the center for the Ravens, Jason Brown, as well.

I really hope they use the draft to rebuild the line, despite having a late draft pick. They also should consider using Leftwich as a bargaining chip to get a higher pick. They've got to address O-line this year, considering how much $$$ they have invested into Ben and how many times he getting sacked this year.

Building through the draft will not help Ben. There are not many expecially after pick 25 that are able to start immediately and be effective. Just about any available OL will be an improvement over the wips we have. They totally suck. I believe we need to draft a good OL but also need to get at least 2 in FA to improve O-Line in time to save Bens' career.

I think Leftwich has a one-year deal. Which means he won't be the Steelers' player when their season ends. They have nothing to bargain with there.
