Steelers Football - Not Just a Game but a Way of Life Poll
Hello and happy holidays to all the masses of Stiller fans across the world. As I am finally settling down after the debacle in Tennessee last Sunday, I got to thinking how much my moods and general way of feeling about life are affected by whether the Steelers win or lose. I am a little embarrassed to admit it as it is only a football game and there are much more important things in life (I think). It got me to wondering though to what extent other fans are affected by the weekly results of the Black and Gold. I thought for fun I would put together a little unscientific poll to see if I am in the majority or minority.
Here's how this goes - pick one of the three statements that follows and let us know whether it's just a game or a way of life -
Each week after the Steelers play, I
1) Giddy, Hines Ward smiley all week when we win or act like a ticked off Scrooge when we lose - until the next game
2) Feel great after a win but get settled down by midweek to worry about the upcoming week's game or feel like crap until midweek but rub some dirt on it and get ready for the next game
3) win or lose, it rolls off your back like the grass at Heinz field comes off the ground

Mix one and two for me.
My shit smells better when we win, but when we lose, the smell can kill a skunk. When they lose I look at the big picture of how we lost, and lately it's been more severe.. ex.) leaving multiple plays, drives, & points on the field due to a little miss-hap here and there.
It gets better around Thursday when we lose, but I'll always have the stench of last weeks loss in my head from the week before.
When we win, obviously, I fuck my girl like a champ.

I'm generally pissed for a good three or four days after a loss. I refuse to log into ESPN, NFL, or any other .com besides Stillers to wallow in the defeat. If it is a thorough ass whipping like it was this past week, the feelings linger for the whole week and I can't wait for the team to get out there an woodshed their next opponent to show everyone that this past game was a fluke. These feelings also are compounded by living in NE and having to listen to their pain in the ass fans for a week, especially if the Pats win.
When the Steelers win, I'm generally in a good mood all week, I bust out my black and gold work outfit and say nothing else. I'm generally curious as to what everyone is saying about the Steelers, secretly hoping that nobody is saying anything, because nothing good ever comes when the team is trumpeted as one of the best in the league, and can't wait until the next game to see if they can win again.
So, I'm mostly a 1.

Put me down for #3.
Whether THEY win or lose, my life goes on between games.
I enjoy watching THEM but I surely do not let the outcome of any game THEY play affect my life. I'm cool like that.
