I don't routinely use "we/our" myself, but I don't have a problem with it, for this reason: WE may not be the STEELERS, but WE sure as hell are PITTSBURGH.

I've spent enough money on this organization (jerseys, tickets, beer, food, etc) that I feel i'm entitled to say "we" Get over it.

"I had to wear a dress to high school thanks to that mutha fugga."

Now we understand. He liked it so much that he's been wearing one ever since. He(she? it?) even squats to piss now.

You're not part of the team.

THAT is my logic. Plain and simple. No long-winded diatribe needed. :sufu:

WE are fans. THEY are the team. There is a FINE distinction between the two.

Believe me, indytroll is the last person who should be extolling camradre with the Steeler Nation. If you read any of that trolls game posts he is more of a "them" then a "we"

Sorry dude. I don't play for THAT team.

Give it up woodsofsteel. Have you not heard of the 13th man? Do you not see players imploring fans to raise up? We are Steelers. More than that, we dont even get paid.

PG --

Your pretty unimpressive.

Let me ask you, what makes you think I am a troll?

Please tell me what you know that I don't....since you seem to know it all.

Frankly, I don't give a hoot in hell what you think PG. How's that?

Have you not heard of the 13th man?

You must be talking about your REAL daddy. You know... The 13th person up in yo mama that fateful evening. Lucky me. I was #64 that night.

When it comes to sports, I've only heard of the 12th man... Being from Texas and all... A&M anyone?

indysteel is FAR from a troll by the way... Although a bit pessimistic, he's still full of insight from the other side of the spectrum. What have YOU brought to the table?

Enter PG's save-face post. "Oh um er it was a typo yeah"

Tool.

But say your non-football watching coworker, knowing what a fan you are, said "so what happened with the Ravens game?" You could say "We beat 'em."

"They beat them," just doesn't work.

So how about "We saved the French's asses in WWII?" You never "suited up" there, either. Personally, I find that more obnoxious because while my grandfather risked life and limb to fight the nazis, the average shithead you hear talking about "us" saving the French wasn't there.

Being from Texas I hope you have horns I'd hate to think of the other option.
And trying to compare any Texas football team to the Steelers is pathetic.
And all BS aside what does being from Texas have to do with anything period

1.) I'm definitely not 'the other option'. Sorry to disappoint you lil feller.
2.) Not once did I compare the Steelers to any other team.
3.) When you overcome your bout of ignorance, re-read the post so you can see why Texas is relevant... No. Nevermind. I'll save you the time: I was referring to Texas A&M... The home of the original "12th Man". Do some homework.

4.) How many of "us" got a concussion today? ;)

:suplusone: ... Me.

It is always funny how everyone from Texas has to make sure you know that like Texas is better than everywhere else. Hahahahahaha

Who friggen cares about some stupid TEXAS college football team that has nothing else to offer. I mean it is not like they offer much after football. Hey I have a degree in Basket Weaving, I failed knitting

This has got to be my biggest pet-peeve when it comes to NFL fanaticism.

You've never suited up. You've probably never even been on the field (I'm sure SOMEONE that reads this has taken the tour), much less been on when the game clock is running.

I don't know if it's the need to feel like you're part of something special but uh... At the end of the day. You're just a fan. I'm just a fan.

Check "we", "our", and "us" at the door when referring to the Steelers. THEY play the game. WE do not.

You know who you are.

You obviously aren't aware of the cardinal rule of fandom. It's WE won or THEY lost, depending on the outcome of the game.
