Moore 3 for 28

Postby raleigh-steelman » Sun Dec 21, 2008 6:07 pm

3 for 28.......3 why only 3. Not that it would have changed things but he averaged almost 10 yards a carry. There are 60 mins in a game let the boy run.

He also had a few catches for 20 or so yards. It only makes sense to leave Willie in there.

cause willie is gonna cry that we aren't playing 'steeler football' by ramming him up the gut for -5 yards every single play. Coach also doesn't like how moore breaks too many tackles or is good at evading them. we obviously want a running back who blindly charges into the pile instead of make plays

Seriously speaking though, it's time to bench parker. Has he even averaged 2 yards per carry since returning from his injury? Numbers don't lie, and well today..

Parker: 19 touches 31 total yards
Moore: 5 touches, 58 total yards

I won't even get into how many times parker is stopped for negative yardage. It happens so much that I'm expecting it to happen almost everytime he carries the ball. It's time for the coaches to look at the situation without trying to be 'nice' to parker. He has not been productive, while moore has. Time to make the switch guys.

I'm willing to bet money that teams are thrilled to hear that parker is starting, and are usually more worried about what's coming when mewelde is in the backfield

really makes me wonder what impact mendenhall might have had ... someone with a little more size along with speed ... maybe he would make at least a little something out of nothing ... parker just seems to need a HUGE hole to run through, and with our line, that 'aint happening. i don't know if moore's success has a little to do with surprise run plays when he's in there on 3rd down, etc. when the defense is suspecting run on early downs, he just will not take a little of what's there ... always seems to hesitate and dance waiting for a gian hole to open and when it doesn't, it always results in negative plays ... he drives me nuts!
