IMO (and I have been a Ben HATER, lately), the Titties revealed another of Ben's weaknesses. Try to knock that ball out. If he keeps putting it out on a platter and NOT PUTTING IT AWAY EVEN IF HES FUCKING SURROUNDED BY DEFENDERS, don't go for the sack, just knock that sucker outta his hand. BOOM! 7 points.

Other than his turnovers, I really liked what I saw from Ben.

The problem with parker is every single FUCKING TIME parker had a decent run, Arians ran him again, and it never worked (as consecutive runs have never worked this season, anyway)

Ben would have remained good, but one of 2 things happened (not sure which yet)

1. The titties jumped the short routes that worked so well against the Ravens that I've previously mentioned.

2. Arians for some strange reason gave up on the short pass plays

as for arians ... agreed, i get sick to my stomach even when the camera catches him on the sideline. his bullshit comments a few weeks ago about "never 2nd guessing himself .. never looking back" ... could you imagine if we all lived like that??? i constantly 2nd guess myself, about my business, my family, my decisions ... that's how we learn, and grow ... we ask ourselves "was that the right thing to do?" "could i have done it better" ... obviously we don't question the things we do that turn out great, but the things that don't, how in the hell would we ever improve in our lives if we don't learn from our mistakes ... this asshole keeps trying things that don't work because he thinks they should, regardless of the results!! un-fucking-believable!!! he never goes back and looks to find out why certain plays aren't working, he thinks they should have and continues to try them ... i've never seen a poorer coached offensive football team in pittsburgh in my life. all the delays, problems with route-running, problems in blocking schemes ... it all stems from coaching, and cooridinating ... this is simply the dumbest, incoherent, unqualified cooridinator we've ever employed ... i just hope to god tomlin has the balls, at a young age and a lack of experience to fire this retard after the season, despite our record ... we won all of our games on talent alone, and despite this complete moron.

I still don't think Parker is 100%. Plus with Arians calling the plays there were more jail breaks than they ever had in the Wild West. Weather it is the injury or the play calling Parker seems tentative which is not good with the speed in the NFL.

I am wearing a little thin with Willie. However, we still run him like he is Bettis. Arians rearely tries to get him to the edge and every screen pass or draw is telegraphed that it is no wonder he does not get much.

I've never thought Parker was a feature back. The fact that FWP gets negative yardage more times than positive should throw a red flag up. But then, compare that to Moore's stats in the SAME GAME against the SAME DEFENSE using the SAME OFFENSIVE LINE and that should sound sirens and whistles. FWP is not a RB that can run without HUGE holes to hit...he hesitates too much at the LOS. On several hand-offs yesterday, FWP stood there, feet spread, like he was getting ready to block. WTF??? Sure, you say, FWP could take it to the house at any time. I don't think so, not anymore. He doesn't have the same speed as he once did and how many times this year has he actually broke one for 20+ yards? I say, give me a back that can get me 3-4 YPC and I'll live with the fact that he won't "hit a home run".

What we need in my opinion is a Cam Cameron type OC. We will not hire him away from Baltimore.

However, we need someone that creates an offense that fits the strengths of the personnel they have and that can adapt as the game dictates. I don't know NFL asst. coaches well enough to give names but hey they are out there.

Remember Arians was the OC in Cleveland when Maddox came back from like 20pts down in the 4th qtr. Should have known we were in trouble when he came from the mistake on the lake.

As for Willie, he's shot. Dunno if hes hurt or what. Not the same burst. Mewelde runs with a purpose. He should start the rest of the year. It doesnt make sense they both run behind the same line and Mewelde produces. I dont think the line says "Mewelde's in Lets block this play"


No way we get a 2nd round pick for willie. As we have seen before, the FO will cut him before he gets traded. Hopefully Delicious shows something next year.

I love Ben.

I've loved Ben since his rookie year when he took the team to 15-1 and eventually lost to the Pats in the AFC Championship Game.

I loved him when he went on a tear in the playoffs, even to have a subpar Super Bowl, which they still won.

However, I'm one who can call a wart a wart and the fumbles and stupid interceptions in their own territory are huge warts.

They don't happen every game, but when they do, they cost the team the game (Colts, Giants, Titans).

I know that the offensive line is not the best. I know that Arians might be the worst offensive coordinator in the history of the team. I know that the running game is suffering from the fact that the team refuses to feature MeMo (maybe he's not a feature back, either, and that is why he only gets a limited amount of carries and all of his successes come from being a change of pace) and I know that both Santonio and Nate have cases of the dropsies (Hines, too, and Miller let a catchable ball hit the turf on third down yesterday). Nevertheless, with all of these issues, the team needs nearly flawless play from the quarterback position. When they get it, they win. When they don't, they lose.

The problems with the team are not all Ben's. He does have his warts, though, and to suggest otherwise is to be looking at the world through black and gold colored glasses. The quarterback is the leader of the team and usually how goes the quarterback so goes the rest of the team. This is magnified on a team with so many issues like the Steelers (and the Jets, but who gives a shit about them) and Ben, if he really wants to be considered one of the best, needs to get his shit together.

I think you'll see the return of Spike's mojo during the 1st playoff game. My point is not that Ben is great all the time, and he certainly has weaknesses (ball security prime among them), but I am still a huge fan of 7, overall. If WE/we lose in the playoffs, it will be because of the inability to run the ball, or because of a huge special teams boner....but I don't think it will be because of Ben.

I would say it has to do with this:
1) Big Ben has produced (to some degree) and has had several game-winning drives.
2) FWP has done squat this year.

Also, Ben did not go out an complain about the play-calling.
FWP did.

In other words, if people see that you are a "team guy" then they are more likely to give you a pass when you play like crap.
Whereas, if you play like crap every game...and then have the gall to complain...people are going to bury you.

It seems to me that the Steelers have held on to some mighty piss poor coordinators (both offensive and defensive) for painfully long periods of time. In my opinion that's the Rooneys' doings. Some kinda connections there such as friend of the family, son of drinking buddy, etc., but clearly not for reasons of football prowess.
