Todays Game
What happened today is a good illustration of why our offense will kill us in the playoffs.
When the D is off, as it was today, our offense simply does not have the talent to keep us in the game.
You guys can say whatever you want about Ben, but he's as much of a liablity as he is an asset. I'm not saying play Leftwich. On the other hand, the record is as much in spite of him as it is because of him.
He's what he really is -- a good, but not great, upper tier QB. No one will ever confuse this "turnover" machine with Montana, that's for sure.

Offense was fine. Mistakes are what killed us. If Ben hadn't thrown that INT or fumbled close to the endzone the game would've been a lot closer.

Re: Todays Game
All I saw today was us struggle against a good rush 4 drop 7 D. That was no 3-4 base D that we have feasted upon the last month or so. Romoberger had some poor plays and we let them gain the big mo. I thought this team was helpless w/o Big Al. They were terrible with him out last year. Somebody in Tennessee knows how to keep up with the Jones', b/c that kid can play....Our Rush D is weak. Weeaaaaak! WEEEAAAAAK!!!!
Re: Todays Game
We'll at least we are in the playoffs...anything can happen at that point.
However, our offense is stumbling around like a bunch of drunk sailors.
About our D -- let me point out one thing -- that was Kerry Collins out there today fellas...not Unitas, not Montana, not Stabler, not Young, not P. Manning. No, that was Kerry Collins.
Think about that.
