Actually, his play tailed off badly last season (and we here at Stillers.com reported on this in painstaking detail), and he has been exceptionally average this season.

Dude, it all starts up front, and when it starts up front it starts with Casey Hamtpon. Casey Hamtpon on NUMEROUS occasions just SWALLOWS up offensive Centers and at times,Guards ..and the penetration he creates is undeniable. Why do you think the line backing core is so un-stoppable? Farrior is the leading tackler again on this team, because of Fat Casey. I agree that Aaron Smith is the most snubbed man in the NFL, but guess what? While others are playing at Hawaii in Feb, he'll be celebrating with his family how he knocked the Quarterback's ass out in the Superbowl.

Those 2 got snubbed no doubt, and they will use it as motivation in the playoffs.

Like I said, if you actually WATCH Fat Hampton play, he's been exceptionally average. Nothing more. Matter of fact, while he was out with injury, Chris Hoke filled in (just as he did in 2005) and we never missed a beat. Spare us the balderdash about how indespnsably great Fat Casey has been this season......clearly, he has not.

Nothing in any of the 4 major pro sports is more meaningless than defensive football stats. From the freebie INTs by Larry Brown in Sup Bowl 30 to the plethora of DONG Sacks by Jason GilDong (he led the Stillers in sacks, by the way), nothing is more of a meaningless farce than defensive stats. Touting Farrior for the Blo Bowl because "he led the defense (a defense DESIGNED to funnel the VAST MAJORITY of tackles to the ILB that never, ever leaves the field, even in dime or nickel packages) in tackles is akin to praising a stall mucker at a horse stable for collecting the most buckets of shit. Even the most mediocre will accomplish either.

Pound for pound, given his experience and salary, Farrior has been a pile of shit in 2008. He's given up TD passes by the bushel -- WINNING touchdown passes, no less. He's flopped about like a tuna and has failed to chase down backs after catches (anyone remember Tashard Choice's FIFTY yard gain 2 weeks ago?) Claiming Farrior should be a Blo Bowl player is like trying to claim Ian Snell should have been a candidate for the Cy Young Ward.
