Defense bails out O again
Play O' the game...... the sack strip that put Baltimore out of field goal range. I know the Steelers would of still been able to march down and score a game winning TD, but then the field position at the end of the game would of been huge, not to mention the stupid Reed penalty.
So I give my vote for hard hat of the game to Timmons! (thanks GCCsteel, my bad!)

Re: Defense bails out O again
I am still in shock. Will be hard to pick a hard hat winner from this game.
Farrior had a solid game.
Woodley was right there.
Hines and Nate were clutch.
Ben with his 16th 4th qtr comback.
Plus Harrison did not have his typical game but he never quit. He was double teamed and held all day (never called). Did get the strip on Flaco at the end. Our defense has a motor that never stops.
How about the hardhat goes to the whole D.
Other noteable plays.
The hit Timmons put on Mason
Bailey had some stuff on special teams.

My hardhat vote goes to Hines or Aaron Smith. They held Harrison off, but Smith had a solid game all around.
Re: Defense bails out O again
It was Timmons who made the strip sack that put the Ravens out of field goal range. He is really proving all those who called him a bust last year foolish. Also, with Harrison being double teamed, how come Woodley hasn't had a huge game? Has anyone been keying in on him? He started off the season so well.
Re: Defense bails out O again
Ben gets the HH this time. he drove 92 yards for a td to beat the #2 defense when it counts. He was more accurate than the stats say, there were a lot of dropped passes.
ward and timmons id give a mention. ward played his ass off, and timmons made some momentum-swinging plays.

a lot of potential hard hats
Timmons would have to be first, the sack and the hard hit
others:
Farrior, Ben, Hines, Aaron Smith, Ike

WTF game were you watching?
The offense marches down the field for 98 yards and punches it in the ENDZONE for the go-ahead game clinching score and you say the D bailed out the O?
The D played fantastic - but the O won the game.
Roth for hardhat no question - the guy was ELWAY clutch when it was on the line. He fought for that score at the end too - what an eat your heart out scramble. Other teams fans must just shake their head at the play we get every week.

Elway clutch? I'd sooner call it Roethlisberger clutch than Elway clutch at this point.

Re: Defense bails out O again
I think this thread came off the wrong way. What I should of titled it was DEFENSE BAILS OUT THE TEAM AGAIN!
I realy believe we possibly lose in the end if the Ravens kick a FG at that point there, especialy with us kicking off from the 10 yard line after our TD would of only put us ahead by 1 point.
I do think the O was cluch in the fourth quarter yet agian. Not to take away for what Ben and the O did, but as a team, without that sack, we probably lose, but it is all guessing, we WON!
I just think Timmons deserves the Hard Hat for that one play.
GO STEELERS!!
