I know there are probably many here that think of Tony Snow as nothing more than the mouthpiece for GW, but he is one of the few Press Secretaries that I ever really enjoyed watching (from either party) because of his quick whit and sharp responses to questions.

Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary and conservative pundit who bedeviled the press corps and charmed millions as a FOX News television and radio host, died Saturday after a long bout with cancer. He was 53.

I've had more than a few friends and family members die from various cancers, so I am particularly sensitive to Mr. Snow's death from colon cancer. That's one of the worst of the cancers, by the way; the kind of brain cancer that Ted Kennedy has is the same kind which claimed the life of my uncle, and it was not pretty to watch.

Having said that, Tony Snow sold his soul first to Fox News, then to the Bush cabal. I cannot fault him for trying to advance himself in order to best support his family, but the job he held should be known as the President's Official Liar. Because, that's what it is. Godspeed, Mr. Snow. I am happy that his mortal suffering is over.

Regardless of what you think of Tony Snow's political views, I would hope we could all agree that giving up big money at a major news network to serve his country when the President (any President) called is nobel.

I'm sorry about Mr. Snow's death. But, in life, his job was his job, and he did what he did. I did not mean to diminish his passing in the slightest. In my opinion, the job of presidential press spokesperson is, and has always been, the President's Official Liar. Well, if anyone would know anything about 'loving Satan' it would be a Liberal. Odd how you dismiss God and anyone who believes in him as just 'small-minded gun clingers' who hang on to 'non-existent ghosts' for their belief system (could you reprint that small ditty about Christians believing in resurrected cosmic zombies?) and yet you freely throw around the terms like 'Hell' and 'Satan' with absolutely no reservations or 'knocks' on that belief system. The "a" has the effect of rendering that which follows it as the reverse; the "theism" refers to religious belief; hence, "a-theism" means "anti-religiosity", if you will. Do you own a dictionary? You really do need to brush up on your Liberal training Manual. Don't you remember what you learned in "Liberal Theism 101?" There is NO god and the Bible (and all associated characters) are simply the product of two thousand plus years of over-active Human imaginations. As such, it must be looked upon as a great work of fiction but nothing more. And any and all who believe that this work of fiction has any basis in reality (or characters contained within it's chapters) need to be pitied, shunned or mocked outright as simple-minded, uneducated dim bulbs who have no grip on reality.

Now, the concept of "Hell' (and all associated characters) is totally in step with modern, new-age thinking. The concepts present in this particular belief are all grounded in actual reality and based upon real Human 'events' such as suffering, pain, humiliation and death. The very same concepts that make your Liberal lives so worthwhile.

The statistics now are that 1 out of every 2 males will get some form of cancer. That is a terrible statistic.

And 53 is too young to die, I wish his family well.
