Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
All you Roethlisberger haters out there need to realize that he's got the heart of a champion and Big Ben has single handedly pulled out about 5 games this year. Without Ben, this isn't even a .500 team.
He's finding ways to win games despite the fact that he has a sub-par running game.... a below average o-line... 2 out of 3 receivers that drop half of everything thrown their way... and an o-coordinator that is an outright ass clown.

I 'gree witch you KingCool but...
The sub-par running game got that way through neglect (at least lately). Mewelde Moore was a revelation yet neither he nor now-healthy (?) Parker are getting enough reps to make a go of it. Of course, Arians is the luckiest man alive since BR7 and the rest of the offense overcome Arians' ineptitude.
I thought BR7's body language during a 1st half sideline shot was telling. Arians appeared to be giving BR7 reassurance or talking about upcoming series but BR7 didn't appear too convinced.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
Ben is great, beyond great, and Willie is nowhere near healthy and won't be until next year. Amazing thing is we are fighting our way through the toughest schedule I've ever seen without our best running back.
Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
They'll be better next year in the running game because Mehndenhall will be back... he's the future. Moore is a great pickup... Willie's best days are behind him because he never had anything but speed.

Hines had a really nice game today. That constant holding on Harrison was atrocious. Ben just keeps winning!!!

Someone find me the rule that they used to call that Holmes catch a TD.
I want to email it to "douche bag" Olbermann.

WOW, not pretty to say the least.
Not even the offense could blow this one with the turnovers. Two fumbles. One that gave the Ravens 3 pts and the other by Ben that took three off of the board for us.
Even with this. We just one out against another good defense.
The Tennessee game will tell the tale for us. If we come out on fire for this game as well will tell me something. 4 big games in a row and we have not been flat yet.
Now if we could just do something about Arians.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
All the National broadcasters laid a huge fucking egg today except for Cowher coming and pulling The Towel out on TV and predicting Steeler Victory. Fuck them all!! They had no faith in us and underestimated our heart. They thought we would fucking wilt under the heat of that Raven crowd. The tell-tale sign of a time that wins their Division is the one who wins within their Division. 5-0, baby!! And we will fucking be 6-0 even with our Second Stringers on the field against the sorry Stains!!
That victory today made my fucking year!! Watching them fall apart in the last minute with the fucking murderer and crew dragging their tales between their legs. Hines tore then a new asshole today as well with numerous clutch catches.
We put up, now they can shut up, all of them, including Marino!!
Fuck the Ravens!!

It doesn't matter who wins or loses, only who WINS!!
Style means nothing. We seldom ever do win pretty. This is Steeler Football, and is something we failed to do last season. We gpot our pride back this year. That loss to them last year was the beginning of our demise. This year, we know we can beat any team out there, and in the playoffs, that D will be scary, as if they aren't already. Nice to have McFadden back too!!! This is our best Secondary in years.
Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
Nice win.
I would watch getting to "big of wood" though as this, like last week, was a very ugly win.
I don't care HOW we win as long as we do.
Regardless, almost all our games against the Raturds as like this. I just can't help but think that we eventually run out of luck.
We've taken some good shots over the past few weeks and I hope we don't peak out too soon.

Of all the overhyped aspects of the Bawlmer franchise the Ravens fans might be the worst.
Fair-weather (like their DC neighbors) and loudmouthed they turn into a purple sea of silence very quickly when it doesn't go their way for a few minutes.

I try not to read too much into those, but I know what sideline shot you're talking about.
I remember commenting to my wife that Ben was telling Arians "Yeah, Bruce, whatever. I gotta go out and play now, OK?"
