Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
49 secs. do we close out the quarter or try for points? against any other team i think it'd be a no brainer, but this game is one of those that whoever makes fewest mistakes wins

These guys are not better than us. Not by a mile! I feel good about a win here. Offense hasnt really been on track in awhile.
Second half is ours to show the rest of the potential play-off teams what they really should be concerned about!

walt coleman is not 83. He is 78.
we need to tie the game here. Ratbirds secondary is suspect and we are just looking to run clock out.
Arians blows.

I wish that I could share your enthusiasm, Polished.
However, I feel real bad that this game is going to be decided on a stupid mistake or one of Berger's patented 20 yard punts.
Still, I would love to see some halftime adjustments.

that was my Homer statement of the week
Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
I'm feeling good about the game also. ben seems to be in rhythm, just a matter of time before he comes up with a big play
the game will likely be determined by whoever can score a td (im predicted only 1 will happen total)

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
Yeah, that was a piece of beauty for sure.
About 50 seconds left in the game and numbnut Ben goes digging up a furrow muck like Malone used to do.
Then, because the first motherfucking play was so great, we go with the "Keystone Cop delayed draw." For crying out loud.
Then, with about 20 seconds left, fucking Arians NOW decides to just let the clock run out.
WOULD SOMEONE MIND EXPLAINING THIS FUCKING LOGIC TO ME.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
Why does Phil Simms hate the Steelers so much, and why does he make it so obvious every time he does a Steeler game?
Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
Note -- for the second week in a row, we have some no name RB picking up yards.
Embarrassing.
We are LUCKY it is only 6-3.
I cannot share in the upbeat assessment that everyone else seems to have. More of the same shit....just a bit more intense because of the implications.

I understand.... I have enough enthusiasm for the both of us then.
I know there is a lot of different opinions on this board... and here is mine...
we are 3 players from being extremely dominant... left guard left tackle..and a punter... and a punter we have.. just hapens to be hurt.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
I can't fathom losing to these jackasses again.
I just can't.
They need to find a way to win this game.
EDIT: Oh, I love the team. I think that this is a great team. The defense has the chance to be legendary and the offense has some pieces that can work if they can find a way to work together.
However, I'm still stinging from those Indy/NYG losses that should never have happened.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
I will GLADLY explain the logic. First pass short for 10 yards. Couldn't complete it, but it was a good playcall. Second play, try the draw. It is conservative, but if it breaks loose for 10-20 yards then we call a timeout and reassess the situation at midfield. 3rd and 14th is a terrible situation to be in with 30 seconds left in the half. Ben would feel he would have to force a throw and it could easily be picked, so we let the clock run out. Arians has questionable playcalling ability, but that was by the books.

Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
This is frustrating. Stillers are lucky to be down by three. Ben has nothing on the ball as usual. Why Nate is the go to reciever I have no idea (Arians play calling I guess). Smoketonio needs to make a play and Berger needs to punt farther than 30 yards. I have to do a shot everytime our special teams are on the field to numb the pain. Ugh.

That second play took soooooo long to develop I could have made the tackle from my house. Typical Arians bullshit.

Ben is playing very well. Receivers can't catch a ball, what can he do about that???
Re: Steelers vs. Ravens Game Thread
My frustration on the draw had to DO WITH EXECUTION and the G getting his assed stuff about 5 yards in the backfield which the fucking RB INSISTED on running into.

Are they lucky shots? Bless them before pounding them.
We get the ball to start out. Time to find SanTokioblountsplebreeftonio for a TD

That is how that delay is designed. It waits 2-3 seconds to let the DE's/OLB's overpursue. Then the HB gashes in their lanes. If it took less time to develop it, they would read it and not overpursue. These are the plays we need more of not less of. They buy the QB time because the defense needs to think of the delayed handoff. However, it was pretty poor execution.
