Finish could be boring...

Postby Still Diesel » Mon Dec 08, 2008 3:18 am

When the Steelers beat the Ravens next week they will clinch the #2 seed based on conference record. (everyone with 5 losses has 4 conference losses) Should the Titans win in Houston the game against the Steelers will most likely be meaningless. This is because the Colts will have the #5 seed clinched with their easy schedule and will rest starters against the Titans on the last day of the season. Should the Texans pull a monumental upset things could get very interesting.

You are very right, the steelers COULD have a legit shot at home field throughout, but I do NOT want that shit and anyone who does has a very cloudy memory.

It's probably an anomaly, but the last 3 teams that have won the Super Bowl have not had the bye week at all. Giants and Steelers were both wild cards, and Indy won its division but was the 3 seed.

Let's keep in mind that the finish doesn't even have the potential to be boring unless we beat Baltimore on Sunday. With the offense we brought ot the field yesterday, that's not gonna be easy...

Anyone who has been paying attention to Houston the last 3 weeks knows this team is not a pushover right now. At home the Texans are 4-2 this season. An upset is definitely possible. The Colts will definitely have the #5 seed locked up in week 17. Baltimore will lose one of their next two games.

so you really see us putting up 17 points on Sunday to win this thing? Other than the NE and CINN games, we have not scored much in the past 6,7. This finish will not be boring IMO. We don't win too often down here in B'More. Our O is pathetic and the Ravens are not the team to get healthy against. I just don't have confidence in Arians to do the right things.

I'll take a boring final two games...that means we beat the Ratbirds twice. I'll take that any year. If it means watching two meaningless games...I would happily live with that! :celebrate:

Go Steelers! :subngtowl:
