New Article: Hard Hat Award (Game #11, vs. Bengals)

Aaron Smith might possibly be the most important player on this defense.
It's been proven year after year, when he's been out, the defense has struggled on all fronts, defending the rush, getting to the qb, and defending the pass.
Aaron is the guy who makes everyone else's jobs alot easier. He's thriving as a DE in a 3-4, which as you said, is a rarity based on the challenge of their role.
The dude is tough as nails. I wouldn't want to imagine the D without him. It sure hurt not having him for the latter end of last season.
