View topic - Steelers cut 4 players today. 2 more to come?

The Steelers cut running back Najeh Davenport, safety Mike Lorello, long snapper Jared Retkofsky and offensive lineman Doug Legursky because all NFL teams must trim their rosters to 80 players prior to the start of training camp.
The Steelers currently have 82 players after todays cuts, meaning we are likely to see 2 more cuts soon.

Najeh makes sense and you could see it coming. Not sure the other three really matter.

Let's all hope that, at a minimum, Mahan is pulling splinters out of his rear this year as I don't envision Tomilin cutting him.

It's a shame we can't clear enough cap room to cut Simmons this year. I'd rather have Legursky on the roster.

Good.....we got rid of the clit (Davenport), and next we get rid of the pussy (Soft Willie). It's time to get our identity back, and getting Mendenhall and Jorvorskie Lane in the same backfield is one hell of a start.

Parker is not soft. He has over 1,000 yards every season since being a starter. We know you hate Willie, but the 1-2 punch with Mendenhall and Parker will be great:)
