The Reality.........

Postby StillDodger » Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:03 pm

Healthy Ben > Healthy Lefty, but Healthy Lefty > Injured Ben........

And Ben is injured......

In retrospect, playing Monday morning QB (and it is Monday morning), Tomlin should have played Lefty, only because in Ben's current state, Lefty was the better option.

And more-importantly, if Ben could be given time to heal, he'd be needed in the most-important part of the season.......

What's sad about this last game is Ben's confidence has taken a hit as well. And remember that famous quote from Terry Bradshaw.

I like Tomlin, but I do think he tends to go into a brainlock in game situations. We can only hope it's due to inexperience.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Believe me, I think a healthy Ben is probably heads and shoulders better for our team than Lefty, but Lefty at least gives us a chance to win and dominate the next few games. Our defensive unit is one of the best, if not best around the league in this last decade, all JUST ABOUT ALL POINTS are from our junk offense and the main reason= Ben

"You don't bench A quarterback on a bad team, You bench a quarterback, when the quarterback is holding back a good team from achieving and moving forward." Ben is simply not moving forward he is regressing.

Darth,

I don't think anybody wants to sign him to a lifetime contract. Most of us expect him to be playing in some other uniform next year. And nearly everyone acknowledges that Ben is the future of the franchise.

It's just that Ben is hurt rightnow and can't do the job. And Lefty, for once, is healthy and CAN do the job for now.

If it weren't for the hundred million dollar contract and the personality and public relations issues, it would seem like a no-brainer.
