Titans o-lineman says it all

Postby DashRipRock » Sat Nov 08, 2008 2:27 am

Titans lineman Kevin Mawae on the NFL Network said the best thing about their two backs - Smith and White - is that they hit the hole right away.

They don't have to worry about holding or moving their blocks. They can get very aggressive on their first assignment with confidence that the rb will be right there.

When we had Jerome, our o-line had the same confidence. we need to get that back. this o-line of ours has no identity.

You always hear people talking about how offensive linemen hate to pass block and love to run block and get an opportunity to wear down the opposing defense...Well maybe this Sunday will be a perfect opportunity to do that. With BR7 possibly out and a muddy Heinz Field, it sounds like a heavy dose of Mewelde and Dookie may be in order, and that could be just what our o-line needs to gain a sense of "identity".

Dookie has been fired. AAA gain.

Its all about mewelde as parker is not playing either.

if mewelde goes down in game vs colts we will be going AIR JORDAN on their asses....no other option.....Unless they start dixon as a RB....can they do that with his number?

I think this topic came up in another post a while back. They could bring Dixon in, but if he is listed as their #3 QB then the #1 QB would be ineligible for the rest of the game or something along those lines. I was really shocked to see Dookie released, especially considering that BeatupWillie is out this week, and you would think they would keep as much depth as possible.

spoken like a true fan...we dont have jerome, these players are big boys and they need to adjust to our current backs or find themselves on the uneployment line...

gee if we had the 75 steelers on the field we would still be playing like the 75 steelers...

That's not always a good thing. Sometimes a running back has to slow up to let blocks develop. Sometimes there is no hole and the RB has to look for another route.

I hope the Titans players keep yapping away about stuff like this.

Their gradually swelling heads are good for the Stillers.

If they want to have Dixon play and not lose the starting QB they just have to activate him, and lose another roster spot. You can only have one radio helmet on the field at a time, but he can play anywhere including QB if he's an active palyer. You would not have the "emergency QB", but it shouldn't be an issue if oyu have 3 active.
