Yep....Tried logging in and got an error message.

Seriously, what is the deal? Either go after these tools or admit this board is crap.

Sorry. Took me a while to come back, and a few days later it's down again. Granted, it was very brief and the board seems to be better than it was before.

But it is frustrating. This is ridiculous. If you are being sabotaged, go after the perps. Otherwise I don't know. I personally would not pay for the site because traffic is too low. I have 3 Steeler boards (counting this one) that I read, and one I really like (not this place). But traffic hurts at all of them. I don't suggest it because, ultimately, it isn't my business. But there are 3 boards with pretty good posters and if it was one it would be fantastic (and I'm not including thou-who-shall-not-be-named's board, which I have no clue what the addy is).

Get over yourselves. There is seriously no reason to have different message boards. Put the egos aside. If you cared about GOOD, QUALITY chat you'd figure a way to share the articles. I read the articles when I'm bored (and that is true at all sites). In some respects, you guys have different niches and focuses, anyway. It just sucks that 3 boards are dying when combined it could be 1 great board.

I guess what I am trying to say is, are you a Steeler fan or a businessman?

On a side note, I'm working on a play-by-play database and I may just have to unite the clans! :celebrate:

Well said, Gut. I am in the same camp. I frequent a couple boards and each has a niche and a several really good posters with interesting takes. But, I think all of them are struggling a little right now because we are all split. It's time for the Steeler Nation to unite again.

Who asked anyone to pay?

I'm not sure what the problem was you experienced (or that we actually had one.)
But sometimes in order to update the board's features, it needs to be off-line for a few minutes.

Brief updates may be the issue. Could be my bookmark, as well, which seems to work sporadically. But I even got the error after editing or posting a message a few times. I re-submitted and it worked, so better than before but seems kind of the same gremlins popping up.

PM Trenches if you are experiencing a problem. He is around much more than last season and is interested in making sure the site is ready for the increased traffic the season will bring.

There have been some spam attacks causing the problems. Lifeless losers with nothing better to do than to "help" their favorite board by perpetuating issues with this site.

For the most part, things seem to be stable. We will continue to monitor the situation. As Hammer said, PM me if you experience issues so I can look into them.

Confirms my suspicions. I also suspect that several of critical posters with very few, single-minded posts are aliases for someone we know.
