Hammer, Misty May and Kerri Walsh are very pretty, but I know you're lovin' them slapping each other on the ass.
Can't believe W passed up on giving Misty a pat on the butt, and opted for her back instead.
Clinton would have been all over that.

Back to the actual game though:
How bad would it suck to lose like this American boxer, Rau'Shee Warren:

Proof you gotta "play to the whistle"

Damn!
In Greco Wrestling, 18 year old Jake Deitchler from Minnesota, USA just lost in two periods to Begaliev, the runner up in the 2006 World Championships. 6-0 and 3-3

Great beach volleyball game by Dalhausser and Rogers today. They won in two sets, and really needed that win after their dismal performance the other day.
More congrats to Michael Phelps who set the record as the winningest athlete in Olympic history with 10 career gold medals by winning the 200m fly. Woot!
I'm really disappointed in Katie Hoff's performance. She needs to step it up. I do have complete faith in Natalie Coughlin's abilities, though.
The U.S. women are looking really good thus far in gymnastics.

Phelps amazes me.
Wow.. the pressure, the short rest with so many events and qualifying heats. He is a pure beast! To the rest of the swimming world...
Even if he doesn't win 8 golds, his accomplishments are only rivaled by Lance Legstrong IMHO. Everyone is gunning for you... time after time... and yet you keep dominating.
What a great story!

I agree with you wholeheartedly, trenches. It's a sight to behold, and makes you want to cheer him on even more. I get such a kick out of his mother, too.
Ya gotta love her!
That 4x200m freestyle relay was so exciting. Another gold medal for the U.S. and Phelps' 11th career Olympic gold. Wow!

2nd girl wasn't much better, but at least she stayed on the thing.
3rd is nailing it though.
Need to beat china in this sport to increase our golds to their golds.

Only 1 point separating them from the Chinese. It all comes down to the floor exercise. Let's hope they can keep it together and take the Gold.

Aleshia choked.
Was all emotional going into it. Never got her head right before going out there.
Coach should have benched her.

Yep, she sure did. She fell on her dupa, which didn't look good at all! She also went out of bounds. She's not having a good night.

Yipee! Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh defeated Norway in beach volleyball.
They had a really nice segment on SportsCenter tonight about Michael Phelps. He's incorporated lifting weights into his conditioning only during the past year. Hard to believe.

BTW: Amanda Beard didn't even make it into the finals in the breast stroke today (can't remember the distance). I might have to stop talking about her now.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that about Amanda Beard, hammer. Don't worry. Hopefully, she will get them next time.
I saw this on Yahoo earlier, and found the part I bolded to be quite interesting. I wonder what that was all about. Hmmm...

Nice swim by Jason Lezak who tied for the bronze medal, which was his first individual medal.

I saw this on Yahoo earlier, and found the part I bolded to be quite interesting. I wonder what that was all about. Hmmm...
In the women’s 200 breaststroke, defending Olympic champion Amanda Beard failed to get out of the prelims. The former Playboy cover girl’s time of 2:27.70 was a whopping 2.57 seconds off the time she swam to finish second at the U.S. trials last month and left her 18th.
Adding to her indignity, her Olympic record set four years ago was erased by teammate Rebecca Soni, who led all qualifiers in 2:22.17, more than a full second better than Beard’s mark of 2:23.37.
“I didn’t even know I had broken an Olympic record,†Soni said. “It reminded me that I am in the right place and not to stress.â€
Beard and Soni had trained together at the University of Southern California before Beard left a couple weeks ahead of the U.S. trials because of what her former coach called a contentious atmosphere.
An angry Beard strode quickly past reporters without a word.

If we only would have had a couple more laps on that 4x200m freestyle relay, we might have been able to catch the Australians and Chinese.
Good job, though, by the U.S. ladies in taking the bronze.

Phelps wins Gold in the 200m Individual Relay, and sets another World Record! He makes it seem so easy. I love that man!
