James Harrison now shoots low
PFT has an article today outlining Harrison's change to target guys low. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/21/james-harrison-ive-lowered-my-target-now-i-hit-guys-in-the-knees/
Harrison again questions Goodell's motivations and I love it! Is it really about player safety or protecting and expanding the almighty NFL dollar?
Business is business... I get that part but Goodell is simply disingenuous.

In other news, James Harrison was fined for statements unflattering to the league...
Re: James Harrison now shoots low
James is in reality a well spoken, thoughtful guy.
But he really needs to keep his mouth shut. Provoking the league does not help the team, even if he's correct. It's not a democracy.

I don't mind Harrison in this case. He's speaking the truth and not doing anything illegal on the field. The league is asking for lower hits and he's giving it to them.
Also, Goodell acts like his actions are about player safety when it's only about $$$. So, I don't mind Harrison calling him on it. These comments are different than comments about wanting to hurt other players --- those were both unwise and harmful to the team.

So much of what athletes say is taken out of context. The media only gives the public small selective quotes and not the whole picture so as to give the appearance that something was controversial, when in reality it wasn't. I have seen many post game interviews that I later read about and it's nothing like the interview I saw.
