Steeler's Secondary

Postby SoCal Stiller » Sat Oct 15, 2011 1:48 pm

I like what I see with our secondary the past few games. I don't if Carnell is one who finally convinced Lebeau to keep the CB's up close to the LOS or not, but I like it. Gay, in particular, seems much more effective in being just 2 yds off his man than he is 10-15 yds off like before. IMO, Carnell Lake seems to be having a huge impact on our secondary this season and we're starting to see signs of it already. I'll be watching the CB's closely again this week to see if it continues or if it is game planned week by week to specific opponents.

C. Lake must have had some kind of an impact :!: Pittsburgh's 5.8 YPA (yards per attempt) is currently the best mark in the NFL. The secondary has been the strongest part of the defense this season.
