Steelers Retain Ike Taylor

Postby Steel Holiday » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:30 pm

Yes! Yes! Yes! ----(One more time) YES :!:

:celebrate: :celebrate:

Very important not to lose the teams best cover guy here. :sucope:We saw some elite quarterbacks carve up the Pittsburgh secondary last season.

A healthy Polamalu running around, added talent through the draft, the return of Taylor --- the Stillers are putting together a good defensive backfield.

I think Ike had his best season ever in '10, and I'm happy as hell that we still have a proven championship CB, but I really hope the new contract doesn't weaken his drive to get another Lombardi. He always plays like a beast, so I'm not that worried.

Not happy, but not sad either.

Kinda like Gordon Gekko said in "Wall Street" : "mixed emotions, buddy. Like (nemesis) Larry Wildman going over a cliff.....in my new Maserati!"

So sick of Ike dropping certain INT's - but then seeing the prospect of Billy Gay & McBadden as starters.....yikes!!

well said.

I'd be more excited by this signing, if they signed a true shut down corner for the other starting job.
