Was this tactic lost on anyone?
After Brady went downfield on 1st drive, (I could have completed many of those passes and I've had shoulder operations!), then they went down AGAIN the same way to open guys, I taped the game and went about my reading a book.
Knew the outcome then and there since Ass Arians already said, "just because we have some new faces in OL doesn't change a thing what we do." That's great, why not put Antonio Brown at tackle then, since " the standard doesn't change" and he's a little faster than Scott, right? Mill talks of our "Velcro Blitzes" where our blitzers just go and find a lineman they can attach themselves to. What about our pass patterns where we look for DB's to attach to? Other teams look for holes, we look for coverage. Sorry folks, that's coaching and scheming. Not players fault that I'm aware of. Oh yeah, and don't forget guys, to run your 40 yard patterns so Ben can hang in the pocket with a make-shift line and "get to know them better - along with the Defensive linemen." Yeah that's the ticket, make these non-starters (they are that for a reason, aren't they?) play the game of their lives against someone who "has our number and is dying to prove it", yet we WON'T CHANGE WHAT WE DO"??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This man is as cluelss as Obama is after his shellacking. They have 4 ROOKIES STARTING IN "D" AND WE CAN'T EXPLOIT THIS? Arians MUST have a library FULL OF PICS to keep this gig this long. We'll be 9-7 maybe if we don't make this guy a hot dog vendor at a high school game. Where did Mendy go after the 2nd series? Oh yeah, MeMo is our "change of pace" guy so let's use him for 6 -8 series a game. Never mind Mendy was getting a bit of a groove and hitting for 3-5 yds a pop. This guy (Arians) is just awful. Not sure where Ben is on all this "studying" stuff. He doesn't seem to have a clue against these guys or changing up from what ain't working - against anybody. Hey Bruce, you ditz, since Ben is so good on the move, ever think that he MIGHT need to move around (roll out maybe?) because we have some new guys on 1 WHOLE side of the line? Nah, let's see if they can handle it because "the standard never changes". Maybe shorten some dump offs (like EVERYONE does on us) over the middle? Some screens to where the rush is coming from? Maybe some screens so the new guys won't NEED to hold their blocks for 3 days - slow their rush down just a tad maybe? THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT STARTING FOR A REASON. Let the guys on the field figure it out on the fly, right? You moron.
Was it lost on anyone that Bellichek & Co. used a Pgh grad (Gronkowski) to show us up? They have our number so bad and our coaching staff is clueless what to do about it. Hey Dick, maybe "challenge a receiver" once in awhile. Well OK, don't get beat with a 60 yd bomb when 6 - 10 yarders will do the trick. Maybe they'll drop one, because we sure as hell won't be close enough to anyone to intercept one. (Brady's 1st TD was a toss of beauty, got to give him that - and I hate the guy)
Yeah, I'm thinking Dick's time is done too. MT better do some soul searching and get in some faces. Cleveland and Balt. are licking their chops and Oakland is no slouch anymore. 9-7 and no playoffs again.
