Stevenson Sylvester

Special teams demon. It seems like every week this guy is making a big hit on a ST play. I am not saying that he is the 2nd coming of Jack Lambert yet, but damn I can't wait until he finishes "learning the defense" enough to spell Farrior for a few series per game.

Completely agree with you but I believe Fox is next in line behind Farrior. You will more thanm likely see Sylvester back-up Timmons if we release Foote next season. Since Fox is already special teams captain, he should slip right into Farrior's spot as the defensive play caller (captain). I've seen enough of Fox that I would like to see it happen by the end of the season to be honest with you. My question with Sylvester is how will he handle the big O-lineman on D? Blowing up DB's and back-up linebackers on special teams is one thing, but taking on big-assed linemen at the point of attack is quite another! I just haven't seen enough yet.

As pissed off as I was about Tomlin waiving Thad Gibson earlier this week, the emergence of both Worilds and Sly Stevenson could be the reason he was deemed expendible. I think they wanted to see if Worilds could be the impact player they thought he could be and saw "good things" in his play recently.

Stevenson may end up being a hell of a find for us.
