Big Ben
I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about how Ben was going to play when he got back from suspension. IMO he is exceeding any expectations I had. As a matter of fact, he leads the league in passer rating but does not offically qualify yet with too few pass attempts. It looks to me that he is going thru his progressions better now than I have ever seen and he appears much more accurate than in years past. When you combine his size, escapability, pocket presence, and now accuracy, he presents one helluva problem for opposing defenses. I would not be surprised if he is regarded as the premier QB in the league by season's end, although I'm sure nobody will acknowledge it except Stiller fans given the circumstances of his suspension.
I always thought Manning's ability was overrated, but I will admit that he has a very high football IQ. Much of his success can be attributed to the audible-laden, hurry-up offense they run every year where defenses are caught off guard or left on the field without being able to substitute. Also, Manning plays in a weak division where defenses are soft - unlike the AFCN.
On another note..... Where the hell is the fullback? I can't stand the single back (or empty) backfield. Once in a while I'm ok with it, but there were countless running and passing plays this past Sunday that could have benefitted from having 2 guys in the backfield. How about getting Spaeth off the damn field and get Redman in there more often!!!
Is it Sunday night yet???

Re: Big Ben
I just hope big ben doesn't play like a big lump of shit like he is known to do on occasion. He will be the key if we are to beat the saints
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!
