Dullard Dick? Wonder how Mill feels about this
Re: Dick LeBeau is HOF-bound!!
He deserves to be there. So does L. C. Greenwood. Any chance of that happening?|

From what I saw he got in as DB (don't know that they really have to specify), but I would imagine the response of many would be "good thing b/c he doesn't deserve to be in as a defensive coordinator"...Which fyi is not the view of Lake37

Dick LeBeau deserves to be in as a coach. Do I think he's a great coach at this point? Not really. Look at the man who I think was the best head coach ever Chuck Noll. We were ready for him to move on at the end. I think at some point you've seen it all and you lose your imagination.

They have to be specific on the category that they are getting elected for. Since Dick was selected for his playing days with Detroit, discussions and debates can not include anything he has done as a coach or a contributor.

Come on Still Mill! This is the ultimate proof of the low class steeler hater you have become. Can't you give an all time great steeler like LeBeaus his due on such a special day?

I'm surprised Dick didn't get in a long time ago as a player, and I think he deserves to go in as one. He's been a decent defensive mind for most of his coaching career, but seeing his strategies go to complete shit after only losing one guy (and yeah I know that one guy was Troy P but still, shitheel qb's looked like geniuses because of him) shows he was never really an innovator the way guys like Buddy Ryan and Bud Carson were as defensive coordinators.

Dear Coach LeBeau,
Congratulations on your election to the NFL HoF as a DB. Your 62 INT's still rank 8th all-time. This is an honor that is long overdue.
We sincerely hope that this finally induces you to take & enjoy a much needed retirement, while allowing someone who is capable of making a half-time or sideline adjustment to take the reigns and lead our beloved defense into the next decade. While we are eternally grateful for your contributions toward some of the toughest defenses in the history of this storied franchise, including Lombardi trophies #5 & #6, your work of late has left a lot to be desired. In fact, since the end of the 3rd quarter of SB XLIII, your defenses have been downright embarrassing. Embarrassing to you, to the Steelers organization, and to the throngs of Terrible Towel waving maniacs the world over.
May you retire with Pride, Dignity, Honor, and Respect!
Sincerely,
All of us who bleed Black'N'Gold

Re: Dick LeBeau is HOF-bound!!
Pump, very well written.
I agree. 4th qtr of SB going forward thru this year, ...what changed? For the life of me, I cannot understand what has changed - from a bell-ringing, shutdown defense to a swinging gate, free-for-all, I do not understand how it could all change so much, JUST from a change in a quarter (3rd to 4th in a Super Bowl.
I do hop they letthe reins loose and let him have an "Assistant DC" - Butler (?) - at least, since he is coming back.
Thoughts anyone out there on how "so much" can go down "so fast" and be pin-pointed to a change in qtrs.
We are NOT the same anymore.

C'mon Pump-n-Iron (and many others),
Lebeau went in too many people's minds as great to bad in one season. What? All of a sudden he doesn't understand the game or know how to react? We have some mini-rebuilding to do on defense - that is all.

No really, Mill- nice move keeping that asinine poll up on the home page, even as Dick is being inducted to the HOF.
Way to have your finger on the pulse of "real" Steeler fans.

I just love how the poll is so obviously slanted to get the results that Mill wants....yet the results are still almost 50/50. I remember looking at the results a few weeks ago, and the "I'm a clueless idiot and not sure" result was actually ahead by a fairly significant margin. I'm guessing Mill has spent his free time feverishly clicking his answer to move back ahead.
