Steelers Home Games Sites (1958-1963)
From 1958 to 1963 the Steelers split their home schedule between Forbes Field and Pitt Stadium. Does anyone have the scores of the Steelers home games from 1958 thru 1963 with the stadium site location listed? I want to see the Steelers all-time W-L records in Forbes Field, Pitt Stadium, Three Rivers Stadium and Heinz Field. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I don't have the stats you seek buckeyejim but I remember going to games at Forbes field and Pitt Stadium.
Question ....why doesn't Pitt use that stadium anymore? Has it been destroyed?

here is the wiki page for the 1958 schedule: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1958_Pittsburgh_Steelers_season
below the colorful chart, there is a summary for each game which includes site. all of them say forbes field, though. plus, according to wiki, the only year they overlapped was 1958
# Forbes Field (1933–1963)
# Pitt Stadium (1958,1963–1969)
hope this helps

Re: Steelers Home Games Sites (1958-1963)
Thanks for the wikipedia.org link. I'm pretty sure there is an error in 1963. It shows that the Steelers played the New York Giants in Yankee Stadium on Sept 30 & Oct 14. I'd say the Oct 14 was correct because there were 62,808 in attendance. Sept. 30 had to have been in Pittsburgh. I guess it's possible that it could have been at Pitt Stadium instead of Forbes Field because 40,919 were in attendance and I always thought Forbes Field was smaller than that but I could be wrong.

Re: Steelers Home Games Sites (1958-1963)
Here is a quote about Forbes Field:
"The University of Pittsburgh's acquisition of Forbes Field in 1958 gave the Steelers some options, and they began transferring some of their home games to the much larger Pitt Stadium that year. The Steelers played their final game at Forbes Field on December 1, 1963. The franchise would move to Pitt Stadium exclusively the following season."
That tells me that a few more of the games from 1958-1963 were, in fact, played at Pitt Stadium.
