Draft priorities

Postby Matt6999 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 9:53 am

I think it is time the Steelers entered the 1990's and signed a 3-4 free agents who can step in and play. I think we need to move up and down in the draft and target positions that we do not fill in FA. IMO, we need:

C, G, T, CB, S, NT, ILB

I do not want to franchise or extend Casey. We can find a 400 pound tub of goo in the mid rounds of the draft.

apparently it is impossible for a rookie to lean our Chinese Math D so we need to go sign a S and a CB. Hopefully a rookie G/C/T can step right in.

CB--there is a need for at least two who can actually play the position
NT--Snack's disregard for conditioning has worn thin on the HC
OL--the quality and talent level must improve (a new OL coach helps too)
S--we all saw the importance of safety play for this defense to correctly function
LB--you can't have too many
RB--FWP's days are numbered here, and can there please be a decent fullback?
WR--what if Holmes prices himself out of the Stillers' market?
