He never could throw the long ball. Makes his success all the more amazing. Now let's hear all of the idiots deny it.

Wasn't Ben's stronger arm and long ball touch the reason he was one of the top rated QBs in the 2004 draft? Yeah, he needs to work on this in the off season so Wallace doesn't have to slow down for underthrown deep passes.

He always seems to throw darts on the intermediate routes. He just needs more power under the deep ones.

That seems to be a talent that guys are either born with or not. Can't be coached and can't be developed. Strange thing is for the size of Ben he oughta have a 30-30 rifle for an arm. Physically he dwarfs Brady yet Tom's long ball far outclasses Bens. Doesn't necessarily make a quality qb, though. Supposedly that guy Russel with Oakland can toss it 100 yards. I wouldn't want him, would you?

It's true his long ball is not pretty and I agree with Coke Oven that it cannot be taught. But he could improve his long ball by not hesitating before firing it out there. A quicker release would improve his game on all passing routes.

Ben is too much of a plodder in getting the ball out. Even on the delayed handoffs, they take friggin forever. He just holds onto the goddang ball too long. I'm sick of seeing Wallace have to put on the brakes after he's blown by the CB & have to wait for that balloon.

Ya Ben cant throw a deep ball , lets cut em. Pardon me boys, Ben most certainly CAN throw it deep and on target. He's already done so numerous times. Its mainly because of those stupid gloves and of course waiting a second too long doesnt help. They will work on timing patterns in the offseason now that they know they have stud WR's like Wally n Tonio... You'll all be back loving Ben next year , mark my words

Bens long ball has mostly always sucked. He waits to long to throw the bomb then he puts too much of a high projectory on it.
Ben is great at a lot of things but throwing deep is not one of them.
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!
