Why aren't we giving the rock to mendenhall more?

Postby frankensmith91 » Wed Nov 25, 2009 2:01 pm

Is it offensive philosophy or are they trying to protect the health of our new starter? or are they afraid he'll fumble if carrying the ball 20+ times?

This guy is making plays and I thought at the end of the KC game we had their defense worn out. If we kept running the ball we would have won the game or given ourselves a better shot to end up in scoring position. Unlike in recent years with willie, rashard is gaining 5+ yards on first down, and we seem to never run the ball with 2nd and 5 or less. Coaching staff or whoever is calling the plays seems afraid to pound the rock even when it is WORKING. Is arians that stupid or are they trying not to overwork mendenhall like they did with willie a few years back?

That's an easy one... Arians is that stupid. I hope to hell I see a ton of signs by the fans in the stadium to "Fire Arians"! Maybe Rooney will get the hint!

This question can be answered with just one word- Fumblephobia :? ........
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Honestly, I have felt the past two weeks Mendy is running soft compared to how he was in previous weeks. He seems to be dancing around rather than running downhill like he was.

My guess is because running plays are instinct plays on some occasions. In some cases the RB can adjust, cutback, and make his own play out of it. This makes Dumbfuck Arians unhappy, because he can't take credit for the plays' success then. This is why we see this constant, elaborate, pass happy, abortion, playcalling. If Arians was to pound the rock with a ten point lead, we would all think he hit his head, or actually had some sense slapped back into that thick skull of his.
Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!
