What the hell does that mean anyway....

Postby rlbess » Mon Nov 23, 2009 10:03 am

We hear it over and over and over again by Tomlin, and Ben Roth....I take full responsibility. What the hell is that supposed to mean, of course you do, you are the ones making millions to coach and play the game. I mean, was their ever a question of who was responsible? It seems to me that these guys say that, and then expect the fans and the media to go...oh, okay you have taken responsibility so I guess that's that.

I don't want to hear that crapola! I want to know what you are going to do about it, and don't give me that 'one-game-at-a-time' stuff or whatever other cliche you have learned over the years. I want you to show me you are alive! Tell me you are pissed off that the team played like a bunch of losers who were going through the motions. It seem to me that the leadership of this team feels that they need to be so careful to not hurt anyone's feelings. Screw that!!! These guys are getting PAID to do this stuff. This is not high school where we don't want to bruise someones psyche.

Bottom line is they should preform or get fired like in the real world. NO ONE on this team takes Tomlin seriously. They all act and play like their :supissed: jobs are safe. That is not the real world. Preform and get the job done, or get the hell out of the way.

Tomlin needs to take some major heat for having his team not ready to play.

What that means is that they couldn't find a believable way to blame someone else for the fiasco.

1. We have had our share of injuries.
2. We have not shored up our kick coverage units.
3. We have not protected the football.
4. Pass protection has been sloppy
With that said this is a veteran group that understands the situation and is not ready to press the panic button. The loss to K.C. was tempered by Cincy's loss to Oakland. There is a lot of football left to be played and anything can happen once the playoffs begin. Remember 2005? We will make the playoffs no doubt !

KC was a team we should have beat! The Cinci loss would have been icing on the cake. That win would have put us in a tie with the Bungals, but because of shitty ST, shitty secondary, shitty play calling ,etc we're still a game behind. Backing into the play-offs as a wild card is ok, but winning the division is better

This team will be LUCKY to make the playoffs unless some major changes happen.

This team is playing like they are tired, disinterested, and ready for the season to be over.

I would add that THE ENTIRE team is that way. Yes, the includes BR7, Harrison, and Ward.

I seriously call into question their ability to salvage this season. I think 8-8 is realistic.

Now, I'm sure someone will protest and say the seasons not over, blah, blah, blah. OK. Fair enough. Now, remind me again how many thought KC was already in the bag? How many thought we could not POSSIBLY give up another kick return for a TD? Yeap. What I thought.

WRONG LUMBERTO!! As of now there is NO EVIDENCE to support your assertion. NONE. The projection at this point must be based on fact. and facts hate us right now.

You say

"there is a lot of football to be played" At this point FACTS change that statement to "there is a lot of football to be LOST"

Remember when after after the bye C Tomlin gave the Steelers an entire fucking week off? THATS when the complacency started!

what it means when tomlin or ben says they take responsibility is that they know they fucked up and accept that they are at fault and do not accept that it is ok.

we could look to other teams for the opposite....

mangini of the browns just stated the lions deliberately faked injuries to slow down the no huddle thus causing him to lose.

tom cable of the raiders said he did not break the jaw of his assistant coach when there were a dozen witnesses to the fact.

jamarcus russell qb of raiders stated multiple times on losses...not my fault....when pressed in one interview he stated he would hop in his rolls royce.

~~~~
you will find on almost ALL teams a lack of blame acceptance.
We on the other hand have a team of bad ass mother fuckers.
our QB wont sit on his guaranteed money and rest easy like the raiders qb.....HELL NO!
our head coach is singularly focused on winning every game and the superbowl. hell few other head coaches are as intelligent focused dedicated and driven as COACH TOMLIN.
for your information this is 2009! and the PITTSBURGH STEELERS won the superbowl in 2009!
WITH TOMLIN and WITH BIG BEN!
you dont win every single year but you know what? if the playoffs started today WERE IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and thats all I have to say about that
Your wrong look it up. On a three way standing tie by record it goes by conference win percentage not head to head wins.
Mendenhaulin, that's a great piece of video of Troy! Pretty much sums that dude up! Unfortunately for Stiller fans, his style of play leads to more injuries.
It's called PUBLIC RELATIONS and it's pretty much a science. Reading about Public Relations techniques really gives some insight because we are bombarded with this stuff and most have no idea the extent.
