GAME CHANGING PLAY

Postby 1fourdathumb » Tue Nov 17, 2009 3:47 pm

I KNOW YOU CAN'T BLAME THE GAME ON ONE PLAY BUT HARRISON HAS TO KNOW THAT THEY ALWAYS CATCH THE SECOND GUY WHEN THERE IS A PERSONAL FOUL POSSIBILITY. HE DIDN'T HIT HIM FOR NO REASON, WE REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE OTHER GUY DID BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME RESTRAINT. FIFTEEN YARD PENALTY NOT ONLY KEPT THE DRIVE ALIVE BUT ULTIMATLEY MADE US HAVE TO GO FIR SIX INSTEAD OF THREE. HIS TEMPER IS GOING TO COST US AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD. REMEMBER THE SUPERBOWL WHEN HE NEARLY PUNCHED AND KNOCKED OUT THAT GUY ON A PUNT RETURN FOR GOING AT HIS KNEES?

Did you forget the dropped touchdown pass by Santonio Holmes??.right through his hands. That's 7 points so no, that was not a game changing play and no, however stupid of a penalty it was, I was thinking they just pissed him off even more. I like that intensity.

intensity is good, but stupidity is not. I love harrison, but what he did was stupid.

yes, someone shoving you after the whistle would make anyone mad, but come on this is a PROFESSIONAL football league. he should show more discipline than that.

The more I thought about that penalty the better I felt about it. Cinci was running the ball at will at that point, gutting the very core of the Steeler defense. I think part of the reason for this was because the secondary was still looking for the pass. Once the Bengals got into FG range they got really conservative and predictable. Those 15 yards would have easily been eaten up anyway, as well with another 2 min+ on the clock. Pittsburgh never would have got the ball back were it not for that penalty.

You are absolutley correct and there is no condoning such a foolish selfish mindless emotional display. This is not the fist sogn of this. There was the SB as you point out and there was the domestic problem. Harrison is possibly on the brink of going off the reservation. There are many signs that he is tempting karma in a negative way. Lets hope that he catches himself and doesnt have to self destruct. It is a life of ups and downs.

True champions know how to soften the extent and depth of "the downs"

Is Silverback one of them?
