O game plan: WTF Arians?
What is up with Arians dink & dunk game plan? I thought they would come out firing like we did during the '05 playoff run. With Mendenhall nutting it up lately and starting to turn into a bruising type of back, it seems this version of the Steelers are best suited to throw downfield to run the opposing D all over the field then start pounding it with Mendy come mid 3rd qtr when they're gassed. We were passing downfield well at one point in the season, except that Mendy wasn't fully inserted in the offense yet, so we relied on Ben at the end of games aftyer the D was getting burned. I think we were leading the league in yds/pass attempt at one point. They must have saw something in the Vikes D that the rest of us didn't see, especially being down a starting CB - WTF??
The offensive game plan is not helping the D at the end of games with regard to T.O.P, so the D is spending more time on the field than in years past. This is the best QB, TE, and group of WR's we've had since '79 (maybe better!) and it's time for this unit to flex it's muscle and control games - then the D can start pinning back their ears midway through the 3rd qtr.
Very happy to have found this website. It happens to be my last name!! It's amazing what you find when you google your last name! Moved from Pit 23 yrs ago when I was a senior in H.S.
